新奎諾威利食宿飯店(Le Cinque Novelle)

At the time of this review, this B&B has an "check-in only from 5pm-8pm" policy. Also, it's located in a somewhat difficult-to-find location on a tiny street. There is "street parking" but only if you drive a Smart and have professional stunt driver experience. We arrived at 8:05pm (partly due to the challenging location) and rang the doorbell but received no response. Then, we tried to call the telephone number provided (also no response). Finally, we sent a Whatsapp message to that same number and received an automated reply only. After about 20 minutes, a human responded with a very curt message to the effect of "Sorry, but we are closed." At this point, we gave up and found alternative lodging at the Doric Hotel (which, btw, was amazing). Our request for a refund was denied by the business. We never received any communication from them except *after* this unpleasant incident. The business may not have done anything that is technically "wrong" but this utter lack of consideration certainly leaves a bad taste in one's mouth. 1) 8:05pm isn't exactly super late, not allowing guests to check in if they are one minute later than 8pm just seems like a bad practice for a B&B 2) If you're going to turn people away for being 5 minutes late, at least provide a refund since they weren't even able to stay there. 3) Maybe be more proactive about communicating the draconian check-in hours to your guests *in advance*

Excellent location right around the corner from Via Atenea which is the main street in the historical area, with a great view from our room overlooking the city and the ocean. Very friendly and helpful staff. We found street parking both nights but a paid parking garage is not too far away. Comfortable rooms. Only negative was some hammering noise early both mornings, but not sure if that was anything our hosts could control.

My room was lovely - light and spacious with a great view. I was disappointed to find out that no breakfast was available at all and I didn't see anyone else (staff or guests) after check-in. The place could be lovely but with no-one around, it feels pretty soulless. The cameras - presumably in lieu of anyone actually being present - make it a bit creepy too. You would be better off in an apartment: at least that way you make yourself breakfast.

Il BnB Le Cinque Novelle è l'ideale per un viaggio di coppia in una posizione tranquilla ma perfettamente collegata con il centro città, facilmente raggiungibile a piedi. La struttura si trova vicino a diversi parcheggi disponibili ed è davvero incantevole all'interno, arredata con cura, sopratutto negli ambienti comuni. La stanza era ordinata, pulita e spaziosa. Un grande elogio va alla nostra oste, Giusy, che si è dimostrata disponibile e una fonte ricca di informazioni e consigli per visitare i la città e i suoi dintorni. Assolutamente raccomandato!

Petite auberge bien située pour profiter d’agrigento. Le secteur est agréable pour prendre un verre et manger et l’auberge est très calme. Service très gentil!

Guisi, the owner was the most delightful hostess. She made us feel completely at home and served us a delicious breakfast.

Grazie a Dio abbiamo trovato questo bb! Dico così perché avevamo prenotato da un pezzo un altro bb, è appena arrivate ci hanno giocato un brutto scherzo. Urgeva trovare altro, e in fretta! Così, cerca che ti ricerca, siamo riuscite a trovare questo bb su Booking (consiglio: trovate su Booking, ma poi chiamate, le tariffe sono inferiori a quelle di Booking e un po’ si risparmia), e ci hanno accolto con gentilezza e professionalità! Siamo state a parlare con il gestore almeno un’ora, ci ha dato consigli utilissimi su ristoranti, mare, gelateria, strade, visite.. di tutto! Non finirò mai di ringraziarlo perché quello che poteva potenzialmente rovinarci il soggiorno, ci ha dato la possibilità di conoscere una persona gentile e onesta.. ma soprattutto professionale! Camere ampie e pulite, disponibilità h24.. cosa chiedere di più? Ah si, volete essere al centro? Lì siete in super centro città!

This property is easy to get the center of town. It is quite and clean.
