💯💯💯 recommend Lindartun Guesthouse! Stayed here for 1 night on 1st October 2024 after our drive to Highlands and got here when it was already dark but i loved the drive to the junction from the main road to the guesthouse. It was pretty dark around the area which we thought we could be lucky for aurora sightings but it was cloudy. Luckily, I asked the owner when was the last aurora sighting at the guesthouse and she immediately opened her laptop and that’s when I found put there’s aurora forecast website in Iceland. She was the one that let us know there’s higher chance to spot aurora on the upcoming friday due to clear sky. Oh btw, for our check-in process, when I first arrived and entered the guesthouse, please take off your shoes by the entrance, and go to reception area infront of the kitchen and take the house phone to call the owner. We booked room no. 5 which cones with a sofa bed and the long toom was so cute and cozy. This is the cutest guesthouse room design among all 13 accoms across the country during our trip. I really loved it a lot as the room was long and spacious. The common dining area was really nice and big which I didn’t really spend time here. But I used the kitchen the next morning to boil hot water and make myself my hot chocolate and instant mushroom soup. Worth my money. Will book again if I visit Iceland again next time! It is a lovely stay! Lovely rooms, modern bath. Friendly people and I saw how delicious the breakfast looked like - unfortunately, I couldn’t enjoy it as we had to leave early. And: they had sheep and Iceland ponies. Would come back anytime. Highly recommended!

Easy check in (there isn't a front desk per-se, there's a phone in the front hallway and you just dial up the proprietor to let them know you arrived). Very clean rooms and common areas. There is an option breakfast available (for a fee), but they also have a full kitchen and allow guests to bring, store, and prepare their own food.

A very clean and nicely decorated room / property in a beautiful area. We arrived on the first day in Iceland after sightseeing a few places instead of staying in the Reykjavik area. However I didn't feel the staff friendly...

Die Unterkunft ist wirklich sehr schön,gemütlich,sauber und es gibt genug Platz. Leider war der auf den Fotos dargestellte Backofen nicht mehr vorhanden,den wir benutzen wollten. Sicherlich ging es auch in der Gemeinschaftsküche,aber die Beschreibung sollte geändert werden.
