This is a truly beautiful house and garden facility with individually styled rooms and exceptionally friendly staff. Location quiet and safe.

Enjoyed our stay staff was very friendly and welcoming. Rooms are spacious and clean. Would most definitely stay there again when visiting Jhb. Breakfast was also very nice and tasty. Beautiful gardens

Clean place and friendly people made out stay pleasant. All requests made by us was accommodated with a pleasant disposition.

Wake up to birdsong in a peaceful and quiet retreat. The facility is clean and well maintained. the staff is friendly and highly competent under Anna's leadership. A larger fridge is recommended to cater for scorching summer days.

I enjoyed staying at Gooseberry Guest House. The place is beautiful, tasteful and neat. I enjoyed the ambience and the overall feel of it. My stay would have been even better, but for two things: I normally ask for a room with an own bathroom with a shower. I might have neglected to do so in my initial enquiry, so I am not sure. Be that as it may, my room had no shower, which was disappointing and inconvenient. Since I have no way of knowing for sure whether this was my fault or theirs, I have no choice but to leave the matter be. The other problem that I had was that I was in a room directly below a whole bunch of young ladies who were either having a party or a bridal shower or something similar. They were most inconsiderate and made a lot of noise, late into the night and from early on in the morning.- talking loudly, banging doors and generally causing a racket. This left me a bit disgruntled, although I suppose that Gooseberry cannot be held responsible for that. Other than these issues, my stay was fine.
