"We were allocated room 001. This was immediately next door to reception and the interconnecting door for the ground floor rooms. The intercom to grant access to the guests from the entrance was attached to the wall that backed onto our bedroom wall. We checked in just before midnight. For the next couple of hours, the buzzer of the intercom was going constantly as guests arrived from their nights out having forgotten their access cards! Also, being on the ground floor, we seemed to be at the end of the waste water flow for a number of rooms above us. Every flush and shower from these rooms seemed to flow behind our bedroom wall! There was also a constant whirring of an electrical pump throughout the early hours but I couldn’t place where this was coming from. My sleep app told me that I achieved a total of almost two hours sleep in the 6-7 hours we were in the room. I would have raised the issues with reception but they weren’t available when I checked out. I didn’t bother waiting as there were a number of people waiting to either check in or checkout. I stay on travelodge’s regularly and will continue to do so. But sadly, this is the worst experience I have had . I cannot therefore recommend this hotel based on my experience. Not being on the ground floor may have brought a different experience but that should not make any difference."

"Our party of 10 had an enjoyable weekend staying at the Pegwell Bay Hotel. Vey friendly helpful staff with clean well equipped bedrooms. Excellent breakfast was provided with easy access to bar and restaurant amenities. Well located for access to Ramsgate, Broadstairs and Canterbury. Only gripe would be a need for better pillows in bedrooms."

"We were very pleased with our room ( number 7) on the top floor. It had a large very comfortable bed and the shower was powerful. We liked the view over the roof tops. The stairs are narrow though so not easily accessible to infirm guests. The continental breakfast was adequate and included in the price. The staff were pleasant and helpful. Parking behind the hotel was great when we eventually found it!!"
