Abbiamo alloggiato diverse volte a Villa Campomaggio, che ormai è diventata la nostra fuga perfetta dalla città. Iniziamo con la location: posizione perfetta per vedere bene il Chianti, la struttura è curata nel minimo dettaglio e collega elementi medievali, rinascimentali e moderni in modo davvero elegante e azzeccato. Per non parlare degli spazi esterni: giardino curatissimo piscina da sogno e una vista sui vigneti del Chianti che toglie il fiato! Un vero Paradiso per chi ama la Toscana e, in generale, la natura. La Spa: è una giusta misura e c'è tutto al punto giusto (consiglio vivamente il bagno turco che a mio avviso è uno dei migliori mai provati). Altra chicca della Spa è un terrazzino esterno in legno con le sdraio con la vista sui vigneti che rilassa davvero molto. Camere: pulitissime, curatissime, di grandi dimensioni e in pieno stile toscano (abbiamo visto sinora la classic, la superior e gli appartamenti). Bistrot: si mangia molto bene, sia piatti caldi che freddi in piena tradizione toscana, anche la colazione è ricca e con materie prime locali davvero genuine. Personale: tutti i super gentili e qualificati. Complimenti al manager della struttura, che abbiamo avuto modo di incontrare, professionista di alto livello e persona estremamente cordiale. Abbiamo già riprenotato per fine ottobre!

Indubbiamente edificio ben ristrutturato ed ubicato in una bella area fra vigneti e boschi, purtroppo però non soddisfa assolutamente i requisiti di un hotel a 4 stelle in quanto carente sotto molti punti di vista: pulizia in camera e negli spazi comuni (aiuole e giardini per nulla curati), personale poco disponibile ed accogliente, probabilmente insufficiente rispetto alle dimensioni della struttura. Abbiamo prenotato una camera tripla, ma il set degli asciugamani era preparata solo per due, alla consegna degli asciugamani per la terza persona è stato detto che gli accappatoi erano finiti. Il letto singolo presentava formiche, capelli e peli con il lenzuolo rotto e bucato. All’improvviso è comparso sul pavimento uno scorpione!!! I cestini sia in camera che in bagno non sono stati mai svuotati. Lo specchio del bagno aveva un evidente strato di polvere accumulata da tempo. Il box doccia prefabbricato in plastica. Il bidet non aveva il tappo. Non erano presenti i sacchetti igienici e il cartellino non disturbare da apporre sulla porta. L’aria condizionata (centralizzata) emanava un forte odore. Abbiamo chiesto di cambiare camera, ma non avevano più triple disponibili e così abbiamo dormito in tre nel letto matrimoniale. Colazione scarsa, senza integrazioni man mano che terminavano le pietanze ed inoltre le torte avanzate venivano avvolte nella pellicola e lasciate lì per il giorno successivo . Manca personale a bordo piscina per servizio clienti, a noi è stato detto di rimettere a posto i lettini. 
È evidente che ci sono dei problemi di gestione, peccato, perché avrebbe un grandissimo potenziale. I dettagli fanno la differenza, ma qui siamo ben lontani dalle regole basi dell’hotellerie.

AVOID! NOT WORTH PRICE OR AESTHETIC! Spoke w/other guests who said they stayed 5 years ago & was a completely different experience than now. They were also very unhappy with similar issues we had. First, the entire property sits on a giant ant hit. They’re everywhere! Pool chairs, chairs where you eat breakfast & dinner. In rooms! Mosquitoes everywhere! Knowing that, they still suggest you open your windows at night despite not having any screens on the windows. I was bit 32 times in 1 night! They regulate the temp of the A/C in the rooms. Despite being in the room for hours, it never went below 26 & at night after dusk, the temperature somehow went up over 28! It is well known that the front desk at hotels are capable of this. But this property says no such thing exists, which clearly is not the truth. Explain how it’s cooler in the room during the day when it’s over 30 outside, yet at 3am, the room gets hotter?! No one mans the hotel overnight so only phone # we can reach anyone is the grounds keeper. He came to room several times between 3am-5am & confirmed the A/C doesn’t work in room. In the morning, receptionist said that’s a lie. She said to my face I am lying & the grounds keeper is lying. She belittled me to say I must be from a country that has A/C. When I told her I live in Germany & have no A/C in our homes, she had nothing to say except “I thought you were an American”. My nationality shouldn’t matter. The hotel was filled w/families whom are very loud & inconsiderate of others. A mother & child screaming all evening next to us. Someone above us stomping around until 1am. I booked a quiet room, I made it clear I did not want to book unless I could have a room with no one above. I requested to be away from noisy guests such as those w/children. Receptionist didn’t care & wasn’t helpful. I requested to speak to the manager & she refused. She even called him in front of me then refused to allow me to speak to him. I asked she refund us & again she refused & added “I’m just the receptionist, I can do nothing”, continued to refuse to let me speak to a manager. Said I can email manager & gives business card w/front desk reception #, no email, no name, nothing. Said we could switch rooms but it would be the exact same issues as the current room & demanded we “check out” at 11am despite paying in full before check-in. I explained we shouldn’t be forced out of the room as we got NO sleep and if they wanted to switch us rooms, they can clean new room first, & our room last. She screamed in my face that we must vacate. We felt unsafe being screamed at, spoken over, & demands made. Should have read reviews, did so too late. Countless reviews w/same issues & reviews about theft! We left w/out a refund despite not fulfilling our stay we paid upfront for & went to Locanda le Piazze. Of all my travels all over the world, this hotel is the worst! They charged us for coffee we had with the free breakfast! Beware of extra charges! They refuse t

Villa del 1700 immersa nel verde del Chianti…. Panorama mozzafiato..,, piscina molto grande e bel curata….una nota sull’aria condizionata centralizzata!!! Personale molto gentile ma poco organizzato anche per le richieste più elementari…da rivedere!!!

Nous avons réservé cet hôtel par hasard à la suite d’une nuit affreuse dans un hôtel de Grève in Chianti, quelle incroyable découverte le lieu est à couper le souffle de beauté et nous partons à regrets demain matin, il s’agit d’un véritable joyau dans un havre de paix, nous avions une suite de luxe incroyablement bien décorée et spacieuse, le jardin, le restaurant tout est top, la Piscine un peu froide mais c’est le seul bémol tout est parfait le personnel est adorable
