Un lugar muy bonito escondido en el centro historico de Quito, con amigos tuvimos una grata experiencia y buen trato por parte de las personas que trabajan en el hotel, y su rooftop tiene vistas privilegiadas a el panecillo, basílica y una vista panorámica del centro historico.

Es un hotel precioso, con una arquitectura impecable. La ubicación en excelente puesto que se encuentra en pleno centro histórico de Quito. Te puedes desplazar caminando a cualquier lugar emblemático de la ciudad para visitar. Las camas son súper cómodas, el Rooftop es un lugar increíble con una vista 360 de los lugares más lindos de la ciudad. Comida deliciosa y un staff súper amable. Sin duda volveré

El hotel Carlota a pesar de ser un hotel boutique sumamente buen ubicado en el casco antiguo de la capital Quito, es una hermosa propiedad con su diseño único desde el momento que entra en el hotel se dará un paso atrás histórico, la decoración, y el roof top tanto como la sala de lectura sin partes del ambiente del sito. La gastronomía como la fanecas o la selección de snacks o platos típicos encantan aquel quiere disfrutar. Los cócteles de la casa , o la cata de chocolates harán de su visita un momento inolvidable. El personal del hotel atento a cualquier detalle, existe una atmósfera muy cordial. Mi estadía fue de la más placentera. Gracias y Bravo por hacer vivir este rincón tan especial.

Delicious dishes very creative mostly novo Ecuador menu. Service was top notch. Probably our best meal in Quito. Be sure to try the Jipijapa ceviche and the soups. We had avocado soup and the potato cheese soup. The restaurant is not far from San Francisco plaza, located in the Carlota hotel. Five stars easy.

I seem to have a rather contrasting impression of the Carlota from that of other Tripadvisor contributors. It’s a pleasant enough place to stay, but was far outshone by our other hotels in Quito and beyond. The Carlota was our final stay in Quito - if it had been the first, then my feelings about it may have been different. As it was, the unappealing and expensive food, high cost of the airport transfer (getting on for double the going rate) and tiny room felt designed to satisfy new arrivals to Ecuador who don’t yet know any better. Those staff that we meet were friendly and helpful. However, the front desk was often deserted, with no members of staff to be found anywhere. Fortunately, the roof top bar seemed to be constantly manned, so we were never at risk of going thirsty. The bar man was very welcoming and mixed some decent cocktails. The hotel is well located for the sights of old town, although the congested road out front makes arriving by taxi an occasional chore. Whilst a visually appealing space, the Carlota falls down on some of more basic qualities expected from a hotel in its price bracket.

My husband and I tried to go to Carlota for Sunday brunch. We arrived a little past 10am, and the doors were locked but the receptionist came out and told us that brunch didn’t start until 11am (the website states that it starts at 10am). So we wondered around for a while and came back at 11. When we arrived at 11, the doors were still locked and after a while, the same receptionist came out and asked us if we had a reservation. We did not and she said they have a party of 18 and would be unable to seat us until 1pm. We were very frustrated that they could not accommodate anyone else besides the one party (even at the bar) and that she did not mention it previously when we came by the first time at 10am. She also did not offer to help us find any other alternative options. I would expect better service from such a highly rated hotel.
