Travelodge by Wyndham Parksville

When we entered our hotel room for the first time (december) it was like walking back outside. It was very cold. Could they not put some heat to the rooms they know will be occupied ?! Toilet seat was loose and toilet tank plunger was stuck open. Little things like this speak to the staff and managements give a $H!T factor. Continental breakfast was nice. Hotel is showing its age, although it looks like they may have done some upgrades to the first floor. Fantastic location if you want to be close to a Fantastic beach

Wow! Worst run down dump we have ever stayed at. Outside and inside are basically decrepit. Peeling paint, stained brown carpet everywhere, really musty dank smell, just disgusting for what we paid. Plus the breakfast was so minimal it was pitiful, Look out for the pot of boiled eggs! We were appalled. Will never go here again, whoever owns this is letting it rot into the ground, and collecting the money. Stay far away from this sad excuse for a hotel, ruined our families night for sure.

Checked in with a service dog and was given a room with visible dirt and grime on bathroom door. There was a connecting door in the room that we didn’t know was there as it had a mirror on it and we were busy unpacking. We checked out the property to find the pool and hot tubs water was murky and dirty. When we came back to our room, someone had been checking in the next room. I could hear everything as the door was not sealed. We were staying 4 nights and the noise would make it impossible for us to sleep as well as our service dog. My daughter called the front desk to say nicely that the room would not work for us due to the noise from the adjoining door. She was then told that’s not an option. I then proceeded to the front desk to kindly explain that the noise is unbearable and we were staying 4 nights and would need a new room without an adjoining door. I was then told I would be charged a move fee after the lady threw up her hands and said “fine, give her a new room” and then walked away. The other employee was then speaking very rudely to me saying that I was in that room for over 4 hours and should have seen that door. I tried to explain that other hotels with an adjoining door does not have noise like this one did. The so advertised “updated and newly renovated”work was a disgrace! I refused to pay a move fee and asked why everyone was so angry at me as I did nothing wrong. I requested a room that would work for us and was yelled at and disrespected. Do not stay there

I don’t ever really leave reviews, but this place was beyond awful. - Pool water and hot tub look like they’ve never been cleaned. Mold in the ceilings and parts that are breaking off due to it. - Front desk girl rolled her eyes when my husband asked if they had a fork, and she asked the young guy to grab it for her - while taking a personal call - Very run down rooms- huge dents in walls, bathroom toilet continues to run after being flushed - Door in hallway on second floor- overpowering smells like feces - lights continuing to flicker on and off, after being shut off - upon check in we were never advised that there was a card to fill in for housekeeping. We went days without any type of service (clean towels, garbage being taken out). The only positive was the cleaning staff were friendly.

This property is now a dump !!!! Peeling paint, dirty carpets, rotting timbers, exposed siding..I'm sorry but this hotel is in need of a major refurbishment. It's not worth the nightly price and we won't book here again if the hotel property is not improved

This stay was far below what was expected. There was no hot water for showers, not even luke warm. The pool was half full, so only 2 feet deep. We tried to ask staff for help with hot water but they said it would warm up later, and no manager on site to talk to. For the money, this was such a disappointment.

The room was clean and the staff were friendly but the building was in poor condition, most notably in the pool area. The ceiling was stained and sections of paint had fallen off, the paint on the walls was peeling and the hot tub had a strange smell to it.

The good: The rooms are clean and the staff were pleasant. The bad: the hotel is very rundown. Every single detail is in need of upgrades. The place either needs a ton of renovations or to be torn down. I won’t stay again until changes are made.

This property was extremely expensive for the condition of the hotel!! dirty carpets, dirty bathroom floor and below average state of the place..... never again
