Swimming shore has current (running water): this water (Kietävälänvirta) does not freeze over in winter. Ferry by water 0.3 km (sounds of the ferry can be heard). Closest neighbor is rental cottage 4644, 100 m by boat, 300 m by road. Owner rents out e.g. baby’s cot, baby feeding chair, 5 bicycles, life jackets, two marine aluminium 10 hp Buster boat. Home-baked confectionary to order. Nature trail starts at cottage which is joined to municipal nature trail network. Several trails of varying length. Additionally, owner has a tepee approx. 3 km away, which is a good destination for a walk. In Puumala there is 60 km long bicycle path Saaristoreitti for cyclists. Welcome to spend your vacation amidst the stunning scenery of Lake Suur-Saimaa (Greater Saimaa) and the municipality of Puumala! This spacious 100 m² cabin, built in 2001, offers the perfect setting for relaxation and enjoying the tranquility of nature. The nearest neighbor is about half a kilometer away. Wooden cabin with boarded outer walls. Part of the structure is made from old hand-carved logs, creating a cozy atmosphere inside. The cabin features a spacious living room/kitchen, two bedrooms—one with a fixed double bed and the other with two separate single beds for two people. In addition to a separate lakeside sauna, the cabin has an electric sauna, a bathroom with a shower, a dressing room, and a separate WC. There's also a charming living area on a glazed porch connected to a second entrance. The sofa bed in the living area can be used as an extra bed. Next to the cabin, there is a fixed masonry barbecue area, and by the shore, a wood-heated sauna with a separate dressing room. Water for washing can be heated in the water tank attached to the sauna stove. The beach is gently sloping with a sandy bottom. The cabin comes with its own rowing boat. This is a dream cabin destination for those who appreciate the peace of nature and beautiful lake views! Villa Niemelänranta is a cozy rental cabin on Lake Saimaa, located along the boat route, making it a great spot to watch passing boats from the shore. This log cabin is situated in Niinisaari, Puumala, accessible year-round via a continuously operating ferry. 81 km east of Mikkeli, Lake Saimaa/Hätinvirta 25 m, gravel/rock shore with some sandy sections, rowing boat, and pier. Log cabin built in 2014, featuring a living room/kitchen, one bedroom with a double bed and TV, a second bedroom with a bunk bed, bathroom with shower and WC, wood-heated sauna, separate WC, loft (accessed via steep stairs) with two beds, covered porch, and terrace.
