I don’t usually write reviews, but I felt compelled to share my experience because the online ratings for this hotel are shockingly misleading. From the moment we walked into our room, it was clear something was off. The room was absolutely filthy — stains on the bed, curtains, and pillows, plugs hanging dangerously from the walls, and visible dust caked onto the fan and air conditioning units. The bathtub was surrounded by a black grime and didn’t drain at all. The pool, which looked inviting in the photos, was surrounded by a thick, slippery layer of slime that made it completely unusable. We felt uncomfortable and unsafe staying here and left shortly after checking in. Thankfully, we were able to get a room at the Conrad next door, which was spotless and beautiful — a complete 180 in terms of cleanliness and quality. While the front desk staff was polite, they were unwilling to offer any refund or compensation for our early departure, which was deeply frustrating given the condition of the hotel. I genuinely believe many of the positive reviews are not reflective of reality. I recommend looking elsewhere unless the hotel undergoes a serious cleaning and management overhaul.

We were very unhhappy and disappointed with this hotel and we will not be staying here again. We booked a ocean view room with a king bed well in advance and did get the ocean view room with 2 doubles. We asked to be moved and were told that there was no availability for a king size bed so the solution was to push the beds together. So one of us were always sleeping in the crack of the bed. Not acceptable. The hotel is pretty far away from everything so cabs were needed and very expensive to take us from one place to another. We were also there to look at wedding venues- made an appointment with Victor- he showed up 30 minutes late so we cancelled with him. What is our time worth? The food was always cold no matter what restaurant we chose to eat at. The best thing that we found at this hotel was that the staff was very helpful and apologized for all the mishaps. - for that reason alone- i would rate this a 3/10. There are pother places to stay in puerto vallarta- this is not one that I would recommend.
