My wife and i stayed 5 days in June and thoroughly enjoyed the hotel. We had stayed at a classic hotel in the Historic District last year and found those rooms small and a bit old so we opted for the Courtyard this time. Despite the distance from the Zocalo (about 15 to 25 min depending on traffic), Uber never cost more than $4 USD. The hotel is located next to the Las Animas Galleria Shopping Mall and close to the Angelopolis Mall and Gastronomic Area. Our room was comfortable and modern. The hotel is popular for families with kids, particularly on weekends for local tourists, so kids running up and down the hallways can be a problem. We were very impressed with the breakfast buffet (check out the eggs to order) and the service throughout the hotel. Earlier blogs had commented on the smell, particularly in the elevators but we did not find it objectionable. Also the green color of the pool but hotel staff say this is due to the color coat of the plaster. We highly recommend the hotel and plan on returning.
Incompetence galore s in this one. One person tells you something what another one won’t respect 2 days later and the first one denies having ever said so. Unbelievable. Hotel itself has seen better days. Humidity everywhere. Sad to see how they neglect this beautiful estate. They provide you with a nespresso capsule coffee maker which is consequently leaking and gets half of the water on the table instead into your cup. I had 3 different rooms, all with the same nespresso knock-off machine and defects. Breakfast was good but waiters are rude and don’t forget after each breakfast that their tips aren’t included. Far too pushy. It’s not my duty paying your salary. Rooms inside except the first floors on the left side are nice and don’t have that terrible mold smell. Kind of gloomy ambiance the whole place although I like the fact it’s nestled in a small tree-enriched piece of land . It’s right next to the Walmart Animas but the whole public transportation in that city is so terrible you will always need a car or get squeezed into a public bus. They have a security guard house which has no one inside . Nice decoration object, doesn’t feel safe. I imagine this hotel was a true 5 Star Property when it opens, now with good will 3. Still better than comparable Hiltons in the US… This hotel could be far better but no one cares….
Wonderful hotel! Beautiful architecture. It’s a hotel dedicated to wellness, and they do a great job. My husband stayed there couple months ago and had a wonderful yoga session with Karen Lozano, the session was so great that he decided to bring his group of friends to have the same experience. Unfortunately they didn’t have the number of rooms to accommodate us all; but we were still able to organize a class with Karen (sound healing) and it was amazing!!! The rooms are beautiful, super comfortable, and they offer free aromatherapy. The restaurant has a wonderful variety of healthy choices. My only recommendation is that they should let the guest know about their free classes at check in, I found out too late that I had that option.
Perfect for the price. Like an Ibis actually. Small rooms like in Tokyo and very clean. Nice view to Angelopolis Mall. Breakfast included. Only issue is the noise . Not soundproof at all. Shower had a good pressure. Hot water good. Air conditioning directly into your direction. Big issue: only CNN (eeewww) but you aren’t here to watch tb anyway.Glad it was empty this weekend as you can’t sleep when you get other guests next to your room. It’s obviously not the Hilton but fulfills its purpose. Walmart Express next door.
訪訪客We've been here 15 minutes, the car park isn't near, the woman at reception, more reminiscent of prison warden than hotel receptionist, unsmiling, unfriendly, unhelpful, just slightly above downright rude. We lugged our own suitcases up 2 flights, have 3 tiny rooms with tiny beds, no window, my husband had go back town to beg for and then to leave a deposit for the a/c controls, The hotel is completely empty so we asked to change to the larger room with window and 2 beds, and were told that it's high season and they are full. We are all very unhappy.
DDrew VThe staff is great. Interior rooms on courtyard are quiet and nice; exterior rooms with balconies on the street are terribly noisy-- above bus lines and a bus stop; rooms I saw had NO soundproofing. Coffee service is ”spotty” and may not be available when the staff say it will be. The breakfast room opens onto the streets of bus routes and is extra noisy. A half a block away at the Milo hotel, you'll find a quiet restaurant.
