We booked this budget hotel (alltough 270 € for a 2 star hotel is not cheap) because we assisted at the Il Volo concerto in the Arena on the 3th of June. The reception was very friendly, the room was very clean, the bathroom was large enough (a pity they used a shower curtain and not a glass door), breakfast was basic but OK. Only one thing that made my wife (speaking fluently Italian) and myself angry when we checked out. Breakfast is at 7,45 am. We were at the reception ad 7,30 am and asked if we could have breakfast a bit earlier, because we needed to take a train ad 08,15 am to Venice Marco Polo airport. Answer was simply : NO. The breakfast room was ready, tables were dressed, the buffet was ready and the breakfast staff was there. But 07.45 is not 07.30. I do not know who it was at the reception desk, and I do not care, but please follow a course in customer-service......What difference does 15 minutes make, especially that everything was ready in the breakfast room. For us it was important to catch our train and we only wanted a cornetto and a cappuccino.... (breakfast was included in our booking) So we left without breakfast and this is all due to the total lack of customer service.....
