Na een lange rit vanuit Stellenbosch kwamen we aan bij Karoo. Howard had ons op de dag van aankomst goed op de hoogte gehouden via what’s app over de route, de weg en gevraagd naar de verwachte aankomsttijd om ons goed in de gaten te houden. Het huisje was perfect, rustig, mooie braai, perfect terras, zelfs een drankje in de koelkast en wat ontbijtartikelen. Hout werd voorzien voor de braai en hottub. We verbleven slechts 1 nacht op doorreis maar voelde als een mini vakantie. Howard was op de app altijd bereikbaar voor vragen over bv vroege uitcheck. We kijken met plezier terug op onze overnachting!

Wir haben sehr kurzfristig gebucht und Howard reagierte prompt. Die Cottages sind schön gelegen am Ortsrand von Prince Albert und toll eingerichtet. Super Erfahrung, würden definitiv wiederkommen. Sehr gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis!

Karoo View Cottages are a great place to stay on the edge of the Great Karoo and at the foot of the Swartberg Pass . very rustic but also very comfortable. Howard the owner is very easy going and friendly. your own wood fired hot tub outside. when the restaurant is open you must go , terrific wood fired braai options of Karoo lamb and fish. I highly recommend it.

We booked for 2 nights and stayed for 1. Room was like the pictures and description so can’t complain about that. When evening fell we noticed the first cockroaches crawling trough the kitchen. When we contacted the host he first said that he wasn’t aware of any cockroaches but please spray them. He later offered us to change the room which we declined. In my quest to spray the cockroaches I found I also found other dead bugs already lying under kitchen equipment. The next morning we decided to check out. Since checking out was only by leaving the key in the room we contacted the host that we were checking out. He replied with a question mark and “are you leaving a day early.” After we replied “yes” we never heard from him again. So I assume that for this place/host it is more normal than it is for us when guests are leaving early.

We were a group of 14 people on a self-drive holiday. We were accommodated at the Karoo View Cottages and the Master Class Main house. As always the facilities were spotless and the friendly staff made us feel welcome. I can recommend any of the two places for your next visit to Prince Albert. Do yourself a Favour and book a meal at the Karoo Charcoal Restaurant and let Howard serve you the best lamb rack you have ever seen. Can't wait for our next visit. You guys rock.

Semi-detached cottage, extremely comfortable, great view of the Karoo from the covered stoep. Well equipped all round with ceiling fan, aircon and log fire and all the necessary utensils. Highly recommended. Howard extremely helpful with a great knowledge of the area. Brilliant
