斑馬自然保護區(Zebra Nature Reserve)

Due to two long haul flights and inefficient service at several airports we, group tour 17 people, arrived here at 11:45pm. Staff was great, they provided some late tasty snacks for us and coffee or tea. When we went to our room we were not impressed at all, we were lodge in "the stables" area, clean but old and a hodgepodge of different furniture styles. The worst part was that at midnight the power went out and there was no more water coming out of the taps (including the toilet). There we were, after a journey of 31 hours, no water and no electricity. When I told this to our tour leader it turned out that he seems to knew this because he said it would last until 2 am, he was right. So, my three stars rating is only due to the friendliness of the staff. Nevertheless, looking at their website, I think they have much more better rooms available.

Unique getaway just outside the busy city. Great to chill and relax as if hours away from home. Great food to eat!

The domain is a bit from the main road. You can walk between the animals. The rooms were a bit outdated. The bathroom had a strange shower (you need sitting down to wash your hair properly). The lunch/organisation was a bit chaotic. We enjoyed staying so close to the animals.

We stayed two nights with a GAdentures/NatGeo family tour group. Zebra Lodge was ideal for these families. Buildings are spread out and rooms are very nice. Some second floor rooms are up steep stairs with poor nighttime lighting. Buffet meals were fantastic. Highlight was a walking tour with staff naturalist.

Beautifull park with lots of animals, deer, antilopes, zebra's giraffes. You can make nice short hikes. Great room, good food, breakfast lunch and diner. Very friendly staff, Close to the airport, so you can recover from your flight

Check in was quick just the reception ladies struggled with allocation of balance payment. Facilities on site are not that bad l would score them 7/10. Management need to focus on replacing the old showers in some of the rooms. Toilets at the Mountain lodge kitchen area smell cleaners need to do a better job. Chef on day 1 cooked a lovely meal . Staff on site reception ladies lovely , chefs good , waiters good just the cleaners not so friendly struggled to get the feeding chair cleaned each time we had meals at Mountain lodge. Game drive was ok would have loved to see more wildlife as we saw a lot of the same. Spa treatment was not value for money. Overall stay was good just a few teaks to make customers stay more comfortable.

Very disappointed! Booked for a weekend to stay at Mountain Lodge and the pictures on the website do not depict what was experienced in reality. When engaging with the manager Gwen about the vast difference in pictures on the website vs reality, was told "we put the best pictures up of our executive suite". I confronted the manager that this is false advertising to show only the 1 executive suite as a picture to patrons of what all Mountain Lodge rooms look like. She advised there is nothing wrong with that. If that's what the rooms look like then I am happy we didn't stay to experience the food at such an exorbitant pice too. Would not recommend.

Only options were basic buffets in the evenings, and while tasty, there were limited choices and when checking out, we discovered the exorbitant cost of R270 per person per meal. Would have expected far more than the basic buffet on offer for this cost, or a much lower cost more in line with the offering. An otherwise pleasant stay was negatively influenced by this.

Hotel gelegen op een groot domein ver weg van de hoofdweg dus heel rustig. De receptie is centraal gelegen met de verkoop ook van enkele basisproducten. Van daaruit kan men naar de verschillende verblijven. Wij verbleven er 1 nacht tijdens onze rondreis in de “Zebra stabels” Tijdens onze wandeling op weg naar verblijf of grasveld mooi zicht op zebra’s, gnoes, parelhoenen. Ik vermoed dat dus ook wandelpaden zijn aangelegd op het domein. De lodge bestaat uit een hoofdgebouw met bar/restaurant en buiten terras. In die omgeving goede Wi-Fi verbinding. Geen Wi-Fi in de kamers. De lodge gelegen aan een meer en een zwembad. De kamers zijn ingericht inde vroeger stallen. Kamers niet al te ruim maar voldoende groot. Men kan op gemeenschappelijk gang buiten zitten. Goed groot bed. Voldoende stopcontacten ook met een Europese stekker. TV in kamer en mogelijkheid tot maken van thee/koffie. Frigo maar geen water op de kamer. Niet teveel licht op de kamer. Badkamer met 2 wasbekken en ruim bad/douche combinatie. Toilet in de badkamer. Afwerking rond bad kan properder. Haardroger aanwezig met alle nodige toilet artikelen. Diner in buffet vorm. Voldoende keuzes en voldoende groenten. Beperkt dessert buffet. Aanvaardbare prijzen voor drank (bier/wijn). Ontbijt buffet met vers fruit, ontbijtgranen en warme gerechten. Enkel toast brood. Men kan ook een omelet laten bereiden. We hebben er een aangenaam verblijd gehad.
