The room was very nice and clean. I loved the location and how convenient it is. The kids really loved the mini golf. The pool was okay. It seemed to me like it needed a little bit of cleaning. There was a lot of strands of hair in it. Could have been from one previous person or just a pool that hasn't been cleaned in a while. I'd still stay there again. Nice getaway!

Christmas Trip 2024 We have stayed at Homewood Suites Poughkeepsie multiple times and all previous trips were excellent. However, during this seven-night stay, our room was only cleaned once. This only occurred after I notified the front desk and requested cleaning services. Because of this issue, I had to request towels and toiletpaper twice during the week and our garbage was overflowing. Upon checkout, my son accidentally left a few personal items (hairbrush, airpod, and retainers) in the room. I received a notification caĺl and requested to have the items shipped to my home due to distance. They agreed and I paid for shipping costs. When I had forgotten some items I purchased as gifts (hand poured soy candles and boxed artisinal chocolates) in my room during our stay in July of 2023 and contacted the hotel for possible retrieval, I was notified that all found items are thrown in the trash and cannot be obtained. It makes you wonder if there was a change in policy or its just dependent on the type of items left behind.
