金洛克艾諾特公寓(Kinloch Ainort Apartments)

This studio apartment was very well put together with quality items. A comfortable bed and the best pillows of our entire 3 week trip! The laundry facility was a bonus , but as another traveler mentioned “ use the 1/2 hour program”otherwise you will spend over 2 hours checking if clothes are finished washing! The only drawback for my husband and I was the area was quite remote and without a car there was no way to get to and from without a very expensive taxi ride. I wish I had known this before I booked as there was nothing on Trip Advisor mentioned.

endroit assez incroyable car isolé au pied du lac mais à part cela, les prestations ne sont pas exceptionnelles, l'environnement proche laisse à désirer (chambres situées en fait dans un hangar agricole, avec des barrières amovibles de ferme et le quad dans le hangar ouvert pas très chic) la chambre a juste deux lits et de quoi cuisiner mais pas de table très agréable, pas de place pour les chaussures et sacs qu'il faut mettre du coup dans la chambre/cuisine, juste une table de base et un banc pour l'extérieur rien de "plus" par rapport au prix très élevé, c'est dommage

We loved the location and set up of this apartment. It could have been a wonderful stay, if not for a couple of glitches! We ended up needing to get in touch with Kenny, the owner/property manager, about a toilet situation, and we didn't end up hearing from him for almost 12 hours. Come to find out, he came by and thought things were fixed, but when we arrived back, the situation was still happening, and we reached out again, getting a bit frustrated. He ended up coming and fixing the toilet that evening(Yay!). We only wish he had communicated during the day, as we understand that things happen, but would've liked to have known someone was working on it! One other 'glitch', which was our fault for not noticing, is that there was less than one roll of TP in the bathroom. We stayed 3 nights, one full day of which the toilet wasn't used due to be being broken, and we ran out of TP on the 3rd night! Might be nice to have an extra roll available. We were happy to have a washer/dryer on site, but didn't realize it would take 4 hours to do one load of laundry. All in all , this place is fabulous, but could use a few tweaks. It could use some actual sitting chairs outside, to enjoy the wonderful view, and some instructions on how to use the heat, washer/dryer etc. Tip... use the "30 min" cycle on the washer, otherwise one load will take over two hours to wash! We would stay here again if we ever come through, now that we know the ins and outs of the place.

Had minor issues with clogged toilet on our last morning before leaving. Nothing major though. Overall, it was a fantastic stay with awesome morning views of the sun rising over the mountains. We will be staying here again next time we get out this way!

My mom and I had the perfect stay at Kinloch Ainort Apartments! The hotel is situated in a picturesque setting on a sheep farm and is a 15 minute drive to Broadford which has shops and restaurants and is also less than a 45 minute drive from almost everything on the Isle of Skye. The host, Kenny, was very responsive and helpful upon check-in. The hotel room was clean, well designed and had all the amenities you could need, the available laundry was also a nice bonus! We’ll definitely be staying here again upon returning to Scotland!

OK, start with the idea of staying in a half-converted sheep shed (one half is 4 rental units, the other half is a working farm shed), place it on a remote single-track road that is closed due to a landslide at the far end, with nothing else nearby but the owners house up the road, and it sounds kind of odd. Having said that, it was absolutely WONDERFUL! We stayed there three nights, met a lot of folks coming and going (they also permit RVs to camp in the parking area), and loved every minute. The views of the surrounding mountains are unparalleled. It also sits on a tidal loch, so you get the salt-water fragrance with seagulls, hillsides covered with heather and old walking trails, a small flock of sheep that graze onsite, and it is just magical. The room itself was large, airy, and had great and complete kitchen facilities.
