We are lucky enough to have stayed in some wonderful 5 star hotels around the world and sadly the Fairmont is not one of them. Wonderful beach position, clean fresh contemporary bedrooms and charming staff…..after that it’s just not good enough. It’s tired …to find fraying table mats, dirty dining chair covers, broken taps, peeling sunbed paint, etc at the beginning of high season when they have had time to prepare is not good enough. The communal areas are very dated, old fashioned and sorely in need of renovation…rusty fridge in the main dining room, paint peeling around the beach “club” bar, miss matched furniture and the gym is so dated and spa. And what is it with a bar closing at 10pm!!!! There are none of the 5 star touches you should have ie. water or sorbets brough round on the beach, bar snacks when you order a cocktail….the list goes on. I don’t normally write reviews but Accor need to know that this hotel needs money spent on it. It’s beach position and staff are sadly not enough for the money it costs. So disappointing.

Super sejour, très bel hôtel bien entretenu. Les repas et le buffet petit déjeuner au top avec un service parfait Hotel calme et reposant. Le personnel est agréable, discret et efficace. Chambre propre et bien équipée Belle vue. Nous reviendrons

Questi si sono comprate le stelle!!! 🤣🤣 Resort a 5 stelle?? Ed io sono Maria Teresa di Calcutta 🤣🤣 Iniziamo dalla reception, vecchia almeno di 50 anni , servizio zero in tutto E per tutto, E pensare che una bottiglia di acqua senza etichetta dal sapore salato costa 8€. I 2 ristoranti sono fatiscenti e uno non funzionante, tutto rotto e arrugginito, quando piove gli piove dentro e per terra mettono i teli che ti Danno in comodato per la spiaggia. Noi non mangiamo dentro assolutamente fuori ci sono ristoranti superiore ai loro. (Il The Cliff e il più bello in assoluto. ) Se vai a fare una passeggiata ti imbatti con la loro fogna … la spiaggia e sporca sembra una discarica. Hanno i prezzi dei resort alle Bahamas ( noi arriviamo da ocean club di Bahamas) ma questi sono lontani 2000 anni luce da loro. In Europa un hotel del genere e un 3 stelle scarso, Pagare più di 600€ a notte solo colazione per questo posto è un calcio alla povertà fuori. Mai mai più.

5 Stelle " immaginarie" ! Servizio molto scarso e poco competente Personale reception e amministrazione ridicolo. Disponibilità del personale molto poco cordiale ed anzi sembra di dare fastidio Camere BELLE E BEN STRUTTURATE . Struttura alberghiera complessivamente vecchia e piuttosto fané...... Hotel del Gruppo ACCOR cui CUSTOMER CARE INESISTENTE !!!! ( ed ancora prima di arrivare ci eravamo rivolti a loro per vari aspetti amministrativi che già non erano stati rispettati!!! ) . Pessima esperienza comunque ed è la 4 volta che veniamo a Barbados ( in altri alberghi ) , mai così deludente !

Site incroyable mais l'hôtel vieillit et manque de maintenance. C'était notre dixième séjour et nous avons vu la situation se détériorer au cours des ans. Le menu des restaurants n'est pas à la hauteur et le rapport qualité/prix laisse à désirer. Des erreurs de facturation multiples nous ont embarrassé. Des frais nous ont été chargés pour le déjeuner pourtant gratuit. Le réseau WiFi n'était pas stable et n'était pas disponible sur la plage. Le Fairmont est devenu au mieux un 3 étoiles et demi et les prix chargés ne sont pas justifiés. Nous y retournerons pour la vue sur la mer et la plage même si celle-ci s'est également détériorée au cours des années. Beaucoup de morceaux de corail rendent l'entrée et la sortie de l'eau difficile.

What a disaster from start to finish….our stay at the Fairmont Royal Pavilion in Barbados. I’ll begin with the positive….the beach. The beach itself is lovely with nice sand and blue, warm water. This is not a 5 star establishment. This is a property in desperate need of refurbishment. Everywhere we looked things were broken, moldy, etc. While trying to relax at the pool mid day, landscapers were working and making noise. The pool ran out of towels consistently, and service to get lunch was spotty at best. No luxuries like bottled water, cool towels, etc. It was more of a “serve yourself” type attitude during the duration of our stay. Palm Terrace was a 2 star dinner at a 5 star price. Underwhelming in offerings, and flavor. We went outside the property with our rental car and had magnificent meals elsewhere. Front desk staff downright rude. Unsightly ATM machine in the middle of the lobby, No comfortable lobby nooks to relax, no games to play. Our room wasn’t made up when we went up at 3:45 pm to shower for a 5 pm sunset dinner at The Cliff. No fresh towels. I could go on and on about the disappointments of this “resort”. There were just two employees that truly made our stay more bearable, always a pleasant smile, uplifting attitude and kindness. Special shout out to Hakeem, Restaurant Manager and Shane, who generally works the beach. Every employee should take a page from their book. They were professional, and tried to go above and beyond - they deserve praise, and a raise, from management!

We arrived 27 November for 10 days and write this on our last evening. Shared the same concerns as the review immediately below, but were not overly affected by the finishing of works. There appears to be an ongoing upgrade to the Fairmont, with the main restaurant and bar looking good for the improvements. Breakfast was perfect with good choice and a change in offering from day to day. We often ate in Holetown in the evening and JuJus during lunch so it wasn’t an issue as the Tabora kitchen was being finished. Most of the buildings and the entire grounds are immaculate. What set this hotel apart for us was the friendliness of staff. We were constantly greeted and the staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome and valued. Likewise the guests who reciprocate that which creates a good atmosphere around the hotel. Too many staff to mention but Michael by the beach and Anthony on maintenance were excellent, as were all the bar staff. Look forward to returning to Barbados and the Fairmont Royal Pavilion.

Just spent a week at the Royal Pavillion and was so happy we did. The staff greeted us warmly and were very attentive. The rooms with the ocean views were perfect. The grounds, although pretty look like they need a little updating as it looks like it hasn’t been painted in a few years. The breakfast area could be renovated as it is very hot while having breakfast and the area where food is served looks old. Overall we loved the Royal Pavillion and look forward to returning.
