I do not recommend this hotel. Before I tell you why, allow me to pinpoint a positive. The rooms contain a full-size refrigerator and stove/oven. However, unlike Airbnb apartments, the rooms at the Residence Inn do not contain cooking supplies, like seasoning and cooking oil, or cleaning supplies. The exterior of the hotel, the exercise room, and the hallways appear nice. This hotel is located in a business compound, so you dont have easy access to the neighborhood or entrance/exit of the compound. This area is not well populated so you wouldn't want to walk or run alone at night. While this hotel has an area for hot beverages and water; it doesn't have a method of refilling the hot thermoses throughout the day, so if you arrive in the afternoon or evening, then you will not have access to hot water or hot coffee. The front desk person instructed me to fill a cup with water/coffee then heat it in the microwave in my room. Hotel management trained him to relay that message, he said. That is sad and an example of poor customer service and poor management. The rooms are unclean. The carpet and couch in my room are stained; the refrigerator has crumbs and stains; the oven is stained with food; the coffee machine water cup has coffee caked inside; the non-stick pots are so old the metal is exposed; the cutlery and cookware drawers are full of crumbs and some of the cookware has food stuck on it, still. The curtain is stained and the duvet has stains that resemble blood. One of our towels had fecal streaks on it. The dining room chair looks as if it also serves as a pet toy. And last, the common area of the one bedroom suite smells musty. In conclusion, this hotel is overpriced and it contains hazards to its' clients' health. This condition is insulting to the Marriott brand and to Marriott Rewards members. I reported this issue to the front desk manager, Saida, and she promised to have the room cleaned and prepare another room in case I wasn't satisfied with the room. The room wasn't cleaned, and the new room was unclean as well. Today, Saida apologized and refunded my money for the last day. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone. I am disgusted. This hotel should be shut down.
I continue to return to this quaint and comfortable hotel, and it truly surpasses my expectations! From the moment I arrive the warm welcome from the manager and staff makes you feel right at home. Despite the pool being closed, the incredible service more than made up for it, and the beach was fantastic. I’d like to give a special thank you to Nicola and Sheila for their exceptional cleaning services—the rooms were spotless every day! Maggie your professionalism and attention to detail, ensuring that everything was just right is appreciated. Overall, the staff and service made this stay memorable. I can’t wait to return and I would recommend it to anyone. Thank you again!
My 2nd time at this great establishment. Amazing staff, impossible to mention only one because all were 10+. We were ”refuges” from the west coast chased by hurricane Milton and supposed to have a family reunion at Sanibel, the staff , particularly Jennifer and Nathan at the front desk managed to fit us in perfectly and have wonderful times. The building is not modern, but the staff makes up for it. All were great. Thank you!! we will be back!!

The windows are kind of sealed so that you can’t open them. This was a huge problem in the bathroom because of the missing exhaust. The beds are great and you have a lot of space in the room.
The cookware should be changed, the pot and pan have massively scratches and are of poor quality.
There is no in-room housekeeping. You can go to the office and get new towels or toiletries but no in-room housekeeping during our stay of three nights.
I don’t need new towels every day but after beach days the room needs a cleaning. They call themselves a hotel, so a basic cleaning service should be done.
Additional 10$ for parking each day.
I highly recommend this hotel for your tempory home while you enjoy paradise! They accepts all forms of payment. They greet you, help you and offer affordable rooms with decent size gated grounds one alley cross to the magnificent Atlantic Ocean. This location is perfect as it is near a Walgreens, Brinyies world famous Irish dive bar (live music and food), other great restaurants, a pier and all is within walking distance so you dont need a car. I recommend uber not taxi from airport they charg DOUBLE so call uber. Uber eats delivered us several times plenty of food choices including McDonalds. If you are on a budget I reommend Uber eats or splitting your meals. Most give you double the amount of food. I cant say enough about the staff there. Amanda and Gene were exceptional. The maids can be trusted. Iguanas pop out to sun themselves here. Dont be afraid of them. They are a protected species.
