Brilliant stay for dinner, bed and breakfast at the recently restored historic and characterful Breton farm. Free parking. Very comfortable and quiet bedroom with modern ensuite shower, delicious breakfast and dinner (with wine etc.charged separately). Our bill came to €180 for 2 people (August 2024). Warm welcome from Antoine on arrival. We had been consulted about any allergies, food dislikes etc. by e-mail that morning, and dinner was confirmed as being served at 7-8pm. When we came down we found 2 other couples in the dining room, one french and one german. Conversation became general after the (no choice) table d’hôte dinner. We were served a salad with a waffle with cream cheese herbs and garlic as a starter, a casseroled chicken with a delicious sauce, and a potato & onion bake followed by a very smooth homemade cream brûlée flavoured by tonka. Had we been vegetarian or had other dietary needs, they would have been met, I am sure. House wine & cider was good and available by bottle or glass. After a quiet night we had an expansive breakfast featuring pain perdue, fruit, yogurt, eggs au choix, and home made breads with homemade jams, mixed fruit juice and coffee. Antoine and Anne-Claire have 4 letting rooms, 4 gîtes and a family space available in lovely countryside in northern Brittany, not far from the pink granite coast which has beautiful beaches. Recommend.
