Another guest was checking out on our first morning at Seyara. She took us aside and said: ”you're in for a real treat here, these people will take amazing care of you.” The Australian lady wasn't wrong. Upali and his team were the most thoughtful hosts we came across in a country full of thoughtful and caring hospitality. The assistance they offered with seeing the sites was exactly that - helping us have a great time without a hint of upselling. We did spend a day with Upali's friend Sugash and his tuk-tuk and couldn't have been in better hands. Seyara's cooking staff are also wonderful. While a western breakfast was available, they also offered us a slightly different Sri Lankan breakfast each day of our stay (hoppers with a curry, plus halape/halapa, vadai etc) - it was delicious every time and something we found a bit hard to find at other hotels. Our room was comfortable and clean (and included a mosquito net but no products other than soap). All up, this hotel is incredible value. *We were also lucky enough to see Malabar pied hornbills sitting on the trees besides the pool - I thought they were toucans, but have now learned I was wrong.

店主非常友好,我喜歡和我交談很多。 位置很好,靠近錫吉里亞岩石。 房間很乾淨,花園裏的植物很好。 早餐有很多羅蒂,煎餅,水果和果汁,都很好吃。 這次是一晚,但這是一個舒適而美好的旅館,讓我想住幾天。下次我去錫吉里亞時,我想再次入住。

Hemos estado en un total de 10 hoteles durante nuestro recorrido por el país y éste ha sido el único en el que hemos tenido una experiencia negativa. Empezando porque el personal apenas habla inglés, lo que dificulta mucho la comunicación, siguiendo porque no tenían botellas de agua para la habitación y terminando porque por pagar con tarjeta nos querían cobrar un suplemento, sin indicarlo previamente al hacer la reserva y sin olvidar que la ducha funcionaba mal, sólo un hilo, sin la pieza para cambiar de un grifo a otro y sin posibilidad de ajustarla para que estuviera fija.

Que rêver de mieux pour l’accueil, l’emplacement, le confort, la propreté, la disponibilité , le calme et j’en oublie. Proche de la route principale et à côté du Rocher du Lion, cette maison d’hôtes familiale est tout ce qu’on cherchait. La maman cuisine divinement bien, et elle est très disponible , le papa s’occupe de son beau jardin, et Prabash le fils est adorable, il propose les excursions et le transport soit en tuk-tuk soit en voiture. Il est même venu nous chercher à l’aéroport à 3h de route.Les prix sont très raisonnables.Il nous a amenés à Polonaruwa, Dambula et Anurâdhapura. Le rocher du lion est tout proche ainsi que des bars et restaurants et commerces à 10mn à pied . Nous sommes restés 4 nuits . Le rapport qualité /prix est exceptionnel .

Lovely place with very accommodating and friendly service. The cabin rooms are nice and well kept, we had an excellent dinner by the pool. Great location in a quiet forest with all the historic sites nearby. Sigiriya is great of course, but pro tip if you want a much cheaper and also really interesting ancient experience - go see the 3’rd century BC monastery at Ritigala.
