Accoglienza fredda al check in; ci hanno dato una camera diversa da quella prenotata perchè non disponibile, sporca, ma sporca come poche volte in questi anni di viaggi in giro per il mondo mi è capitato. Su mia insistenza di fronte alla non soddisfazione per l'alloggio, il receptionist mi ha fatto vedere le alternative disponibili ma erano pure peggio. Un hotel così caro deve tassativamente avere standard diversi. Nonostante la buona colazione, sconsiglio vivamente il soggiorno presso questa struttura.

Promotes itself as a four star hotel which is why we chose it, it was grubby, the toilet roll was plonked on top of towel rail and tv was intermittent. They sent an email confirmation with a menu for the restaurant and on arrival were told it’s not worth them opening. The staff were friendly but the overall grubbiness and inability to cater for guests at breakfast, people were waiting in the lounge are for tables to become available,showed it doesn’t deserve a four star rating. Won’t be returning.

I am amazed that the reviews are so good for this place. I stayed for a business trip during freshers week so most hotels were fully booked leading me to book here. The reviews were good so felt comfortable that it would be satisfactory for 1 night. How wrong could I be. From the outside it looks like a modern contemporary building - from the inside it’s about as opposite as physically possible. The decor is like something out of faulty towers, you are handed a big bulky key to lug around that you aren’t allowed to take with you from the premises, both stagf that I interacted with on check in/out were incredibly rude and patronising, the only word to describe the room is abysmal. The door opened into a bedside table, the shower didn’t work, the room was smaller than a cupboard, the decor was from 1950, the door physically didn’t shut and did not have a handle so had to try and wedge my nails into the wood to pull it shut, I refused to eat in the restaurant due to my disappointment with the rest of my experience so cannot comment on the food, I was so dissatisfied that I tried booking into somewhere else but to no avail. I am honestly staggered that the reviews are so good for this hotel I can only think that the other reviewers are comparing it to a tent in a field, but even then I think I would pick the tent. Avoid at all costs.

This is our second time staying at Invicta. Our main reason for returning was the exceptional service from staff (Ken and the team), and the wonderful atmosphere and quality of their breakfast! We chose a 1st floor room this time, which was cosy, clean and with a contemporary homely aesthetic. The beds were so comfy (as with our first stay), we had bath robes in our room this time round and despite missing breakfast Ken and the team wonderfully allowed us to have some coffee and yogurt. BIG THANK YOU - as we both very much needed it. I would highly recommend their cooked breakfast (and am sure will not be missing it next time). The vibe of the hotel suites family, friends and couple stays - and I am looking forward to booking a stay in the new year with my family!

An absolutely beautiful hotel. Fantastic friendly staff. Spotless room. Superb breakfast. On arrival greeted by the owner, who brims with obvious passion for the hotel. Nice easy check in and we were able to park our car in the hotel car park, (much cheaper and safer than parking it on the road). Will definitely rebook the next time I’m in Plymouth

The room was cold on entry and although the radiator was on it all the heat went straight out of the window right above it - the window had a gap and although shut you felt the cold blowing through- night warden no where to be seen only good point was food was nice at breakfast and staff on arrival were really nice. Don’t stay in room 37
