Schönes Hotel in zweiter Reihe zum Strand, mit nettem Personal aber preislich zu teuer für den Service und das Angebot. Leider war unsere Reservierung nicht im System registriert und wir wurden daher bei der Anreise fast abgelehnt.

Wij zijn normaal geen review schrijvers, maar we kunnen niet anders dan onze ervaring delen over het fantastische boutique hotel The Old Rectory. Hotel & Spa. Wat een prachtig hotel! De verwelkoming was super hartelijk en het personeel was ongelooflijk vriendelijk. Een speciale dank aan Fortune en Johnny voor hun gastvrijheid. De kamers zijn buitengewoon; het zit hem echt in de kleine dingen die het verschil maken. Alles was tot in de puntjes verzorgd. Hier komen wij zeker terug! Een echte aanrader voor wie op zoek is naar een bijzondere ervaring. PS: Ga zeker eens tot aan Hobie Beach, super mooi. Plett is echt een vibe die je moet beleven! Simon & Meggie van België 🇧🇪

Alle Mitarbeitende sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, man erhält auch gute Tipps, was man in der näheren Umgebung tun kann. Es sind nur etwa 100 Meter bis zum Strand. Dort hat es auch noch gleich ein weiteres Restaurant. Ins Stadtzentrum ist es etwas weiter, ziemlich steil und anfangs ohne Gehsteig. Mit dem Auto ist es problemlos. Abendessen, Frühstück und sogar der Kaffee sind ausgezeichnet. Entspannend sind die Liegen am Pool. Man kann sogar den Webervögel beim Nestbau zuschauen. Die Zimmer sind geräumig und sauber, nach den Frühstücken sind die Betten auch schon wieder gemacht. Einziger Minuspunkt: Der Preis ist an der oberen Grenze.

A gem of a find. Beautiful boutique hotel with excellent staff. We are used to Four Seasons standard of staff and the staff at The Old Rectory met the same excellent standard. A great stay. We will be back.

A beautiful hotel 100 metres from the beach in Plettenburg Bay and close to restaurants . Rooms bright fresh and very comfortable with amazing showers and small terrace to sit out on . Food and drink excellent and staff all delightful and helpful but unobtrusive as well . We had some rainy days but still managed a lovely afternoon reading beside an open fire that was regularly stoked by the staff . Pool area lovely with plenty of beds , Steps close to pool so would need to watch any small children . Decor beautiful and a lovely mix of old and new that works well .

Spent three nights in Plattenberg with friends relaxing at The Old Rectory. The experience was first class all round. Only down side was the view from the room and hotel. Would have liked to overlook the sea but not possible with the location.

From the very start of our stay the staff made this one of the best hotels we have stayed at. It's worth everyone of it's 5 stars. Lovely comfy rooms and the smell of open fires just makes this the most comfortable of hotels. The food is exceptional and superb value. All of the staff were lovely but a special thanks to the amazing Marvin. Well done team and keep up the brilliant work.

The Old Rectory is a lovely Hotel, albeit a 10 minute walk from the main town. The walk to town is up a steep hill but don't left that put you off. The staff were incredible and the Hotel is lovely. A 2 min walk from the beach
