海雅特的Thompson普拉亞德卡曼海灘別墅(Thompson Playa Del Carmen Beach House)

Es mis 4 ocasión hospedandome en este hotel, le tengo cariño por motivos personales y cada vez que visito Playa del Carmen me hospedo en este, así ha sido en los últimos 2 años y medio, pero la caída en su calidad ha sido más que notable. El mantenimiento al hotel está dejando mucho que desear, la comida y el club de playa aparte no ser lo que era antes ahora es realmente malo. Agregando que su sección de playa siempre está sucia de sargazo lo cual es una lástima.

They have 2 extra, high charges: incidentals (like $100/day) per day, not stay and resort fee of $35 for a gym, business center, yoga classes they dont have! you have to walk 5 blocks to another property if you want any of that. Yoga isnt offered every day, you need to check with them. They dont clean the rooms or change the sheets you have to hunt them down to get the service. It was until day #7 that we got a rug for the shower. Floors aren't cleaned as our socks were dirty from walking inside our room. Food is expensive & mediocre, service is bad, drinks are bland & diluted. Room service options are limited. Same 2 drinks $25 one day and $37 another day. I was stopped in the hallway after breakfast before walking to my room and asked for an ID, however they didnt ask my boyfriend for anything, as if i was a what? "because i saw you standing outside". The safe from one day to the next said wrong code and they said i forgot it... been using the same one for years... shady! Online pictures show a hotel with a beach, and beach club. It doesnt even have a beach and you dont want to sit or walk on their rocks as there are a lot of weird people hanging out there. I will never recommend this place and definetly not goint back. Not recommended if you have your car or a rental as they charge even if you self park. Its very inconvenient to drive to the property.

We stayed at the wonderful main house the last time we were in Playa and decided to stay at the Beach House this time. Upon check-in, we were given a room that was disappointing, so we asked for options. We were offered the panorama view room, which was FANTASTIC. It had a huge terrace overlooking the beach/ocean. The room itself was very large, well appointed, and we felt spoiled to be there. The terrace also had a plunge pool. Unfortunately, the water had not been changed and was green. (distasteful, but we did have the hotel pools) We mentioned this to the front desk and after some awkward excuses, they said they would have someone come and change it. Well, they did, but they left the taps running and when we came home after an evening out, the water was overflowing. This, and the fact that housekeeping neglected to replace our coffee pods and cups for a few mornings were the only issues. Generally, the hotel is lovely, our terrace and view couldn't have been better, and the staff were overall very lovely. We honestly wouldn't hesitate to stay at the Thompson (both) again.

Nice small hotel on the water. Rooms are large, modern, and comfortable. The staff was super friendly and helpful, and the location is convenient. Pool area is very small and there is no beach to speak of, but you can use the other Thompson Hotel's pool which is larger a lot nicer.

We have stayed here before and love the hotel, staff, location and view but since the last time here there seems to be a competition to see who can be louder with the DJ music. We stay here to listen to the waves not the loud music.

The service was excellent, very friendly, professional. The hotel was always spotless. The only complaint:the music from the 2 places on the corner of 5 Ave. wayyyyyy too loud

Loved staying in downtown Playa del Carmen on the beach. Close to everything. the place is amazing and the location couldn.t be better. Would defiantly book here again and recommend to all my friends.

I very rarely leave a 1 star review. But this is deserved. First off let me start with, this was not a party hotel. If it was we understand what we were getting ourselves into. This was advertised as a high end hotel for family. We arrived after an insane wedding for our honeymoon with our entire family. We rented 6 rooms!!! 12 people. We have been here 3 nights so far and the music outside is so freaking loud not a single person could Sleep. We called the front desk and 4 different people went down to the front to ask about it. The bass was so loud we could hear it through earplugs. AirPods. And even the TV. We asked the front on Sunday to please do something. Or find out what the deal was. They promised it was only one night and it would end by 11pm. By 1AM it was still going. It’s now Wednesday evening. One night later and it’s going again. We called the front. They told us “it’s a private event and they have no control”. It’s so bad even the work calls during the day that need do be taken can’t even be heard. Also my brother had to work most of the trip- combined with the lack of sleep and no quiet area; they advertised the “sister property” not beachfront that had the facilities like gym or business center to work. So my brother woke up at 7am to try to walk far to the “close property” that was over 3 blocks away. They had no business center available as it was rented. So he asked for any space. Literally no space with outlets to work. We will be asking for a refund.
