Excellent services, restaurants are amazing..really like the atmosphere in Piaf and Cocina De Autor with live music performance. Spa is an eye-opening with water treatment.

We were supposed to receive an Oceanview room upon check-in, but were instead given a Garden View room. One of the main reasons we booked this resort was the promise of having access to the second-largest coral reef for snorkeling, directly from the property. Unfortunately, this turned out not to be true. As longtime fans of Grand Velas properties — having stayed at their Cabo and Puerto Vallarta locations — we expected the same level of service and quality. Sadly, this experience fell short. When we raised our concerns, the manager Mauricio was unhelpful and dismissive. Despite waiting over seven hours for a response, his only solution was to tell us to contact *******. As the manager, we expected him to take more responsibility in addressing guest issues, not delay and deflect.We seriously considered leaving due to the room discrepancy and lack of snorkeling access. To add to our disappointment, one of the pool staff members was unwilling to assist with setting up an umbrella until he saw my husband doing it himself. This behavior reflected poorly on the level of guest service we expected from a resort of this caliber. On a positive note, our personal concierge, Nora, was very kind and empathetic to our concerns. However, the situation was ultimately in the hands of Mauricio and Fernando, both of whom failed to resolve the issues and only worsened our experience.

We just returned from an unforgettable family vacation at Grand Velas Riviera Maya, and I can honestly say this was one of the best resort experiences we’ve ever had! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the amazing staff—so warm, welcoming, and attentive at every step. A special shout-out to our Personal Concierge, Viridiana Guillen, who made our stay absolutely seamless. She went above and beyond for our family, making sure we had everything we needed—especially for our little ones. She checked in regularly, helped us plan activities, and always made us feel cared for. Her attentiveness with both us and our toddlers was incredibly heartwarming. The cleanliness of the resort was top-notch—everything was spotless, which gave us so much peace of mind with small children in tow. The resort is also incredibly family-friendly, with thoughtful amenities like high chairs, cribs, toddler-friendly activities, and staff who never made us feel uncomfortable about the chaos that sometimes comes with little kids. One restaurant that truly stood out was Azul. While every restaurant offered delicious food and a great variety of cuisines, the service at Azul was exceptional. We were so impressed by Antonio Cauich Chi, Michelle Espino, and Chef Miguel Leon—they made every dining experience memorable. They were kind, welcoming, and made sure we felt comfortable even when our toddlers made a mess. Their hospitality was genuine and truly appreciated.

Food was amazing; service was really good but tips get out of control with the need to sign bills for 'invenrory purposes' everytime you have a drink at the pool. The beach had a ton of seaweed and the water was rocky, which was a huge downer. The kids club was being rebuilt (no arcade) and the coffee shop could use more snacking options and ice cream flavors. Overall, I don't think it's worth the price

World class. Will 100% return. World class at every level. The facility was incredible. Spotlessly clean everywhere. Grounds were perfectly manicured. Pools were immaculate. The restaurants were excellent. The food was very, very, very, high quality as were the cocktails (a lot of which were originals). We stayed in grand class and it was 100% worth it. The staff was the literal best and most attentive I’ve ever experienced at any resort in the world.
