The rooms are lovely, large and airy, with modern bathrooms. Beautiful pool and the beach is just across the street where you can easily rent sun beds and an umbrella. The best thing about this fantastic resort is the staff! Lidia and her team couldn’t do more for their guests than they already do! Lots of restaurants/bars on the beach and two of our favs were To Steki and Yalos.

Excellent stay at this well designed beachside boutique hotel. The gardens are beautiful, the rooms (guest houses) generous and the staff lovely and accommodating. This was the first stop on our island hopping trip through the Cyclades and it was the perfect entry. The beach across the street was a little much for me (not very comfortable), but the water is amazing and the pool is so nice it’s hard to leave. There are swimming areas all around the island so not to worry!! It’s good to get out and explore. Be sure to reserve a car in advance. The hotel serves a nice breakfast and has a delicious lunch and snack menu. My one regret is that they don’t serve dinner. Again, it’s good to get out and explore and there are good options right across the street. Dinner is late in Sifnos and reservations are hard to come by in the high season (August), so ask the hotel for suggestions and book well in advance. Truly a great place experience.

I never want to leave this place. Absolutely spectacular. The property itself is gorgeous and the location is perfect. Rooms are incredibly comfortable and location is perfect. The pool is great and the beach is a quick walk across the street and stunning. A couple of great restaurants are very close. And the service from every staff member is warm, friendly and helpful. Probably the best small hotel (they are all small) on the island of Sifnos. They have around a dozen rooms, very tastefully designed and equipped located in a small orchard of lemon and olive trees. The hotel is ideally located around 15 meters from a nice sandy beach with crystal clear waters. The staff members are not professional but extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast is served a la carte and you can order whatever you like. They offer no dinner, but there are a lot of good tavernas with authentic Greek cuisine nearby. The hotel is suitable for families with small children, as they have a small pool and additional space for more beds in the rooms.

My wife and I have just completed a wonderful 10 day visit to Sifnos where we stayed at the absolutely fantastic Verina Terrace, Platys Gialos. The hotel was recommended to us by our terrific travel agent - Visions Holidays Group - as they knew that my wife and I wanted to stay at a high class boutique hotel within easy walking distance of tavernas / restaurants and close to a beach. They couldn’t have recommended anywhere better for our requirements. The hotel has less than 15 rooms / suites all of which are well equipped with the buildings only having a maximum 10 steps to reach the 1st floor rooms. The hotel has a great pool and offers shaded sun beds and day beds. Towels are provided by the pool which is cleaned daily. Breakfasts are outstanding and served on the terrace by the pool. The menu choices are extensive and all breakfast dishes made to order. The excellent beach is situated within 50 metres from the hotel. All tavernas / restaurants are within an easy 10 minute walk. The Verina Terra staff are all extremely friendly and consistently deliver a very high standard of service. Particular mention must go to: Katerina, Anna-Marie, Vangelis, Iena, Atif and Savannas. My wife and I have been regular visitors to Greece for 40 years. The Platys Gialos resort with its excellent sandy beach, very clear water and around 12 tavernas / restaurants, together with the wonderful Verina Terra hotel are now our ‘Number 1’. We would strongly recommend all lovers of Greece to consider Sifnos, Platys Gialos and Verina Terra for their next vacation,

Having spent 2 nights in sister property (which was amazing) this didn’t match the same standards. Other than the name you wouldn’t know they they were connected. Room was lovely but bathroom tiny. Staff v nice but no one to help with bags or greet on arrival, and no welcome drink until an hour later. It was v windy so pool full of debris which is no one’s fault ,but no attempt to clean it until next morning . Garden pleasant but not tended like Astra. Unfortunately pool was v rowdy with young children, but hard for hotel to do much. Overall a nice hotel in good location (but no views) but v pricey for what it delivered.
