Wingate by Wyndham Indianapolis Airport Plainfield

We stayed overnight because we are flying out of Indianapolis Airport in the morning and wanted somewhere close. Wendy checked us in, she had everything ready when we arrived and the check in process was quick and easy. Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable, couldn’t ask for more really.

Room was clean and the hotel is conveniently located; service was good and friendly. BUT... 4 People stayed in the hotel, 4 adults. So we asked for additional towels. Room comes with 2 sets and we got 2 other sets. Amazingly enough, there's room to only hang 1 set of towels. So you have to be creative to be able to hang the other 3 sets. Use closet doors, bathroom doors, chairs, closet hangers, edge of tables or desk, door knobs, etc. to be able to hang the other sets to dry. Why has no-one thought of this issue seems incomprehensible to us. For a hotel chain that claims to be going "green", they certainly make it hard to reuse the same towels over and over. It seems that they want you to through them on the ground and get clean ones.

We weren’t there but two nights over Thanksgiving so not a very long time. Everything was great. I would have been perfect if there had been a hot tub by the pool to soak our travel weary bodies. Other than that, we had an excellent stay especially for the reasonable price!

The room did not feel clean upon arrival. Our towels were dingy. Someone entered our room on Saturday to bring in a new bath rug but didn’t clean our room. We had to go to the desk to get towels to bathe with and the receptionist handed my husband a handful of unfolded towels. Not good for the image of the hotel.

The good: Staff are very friendly, rooms are comfortable. The not-so good: Carpeting throughout the building is dirty and stained. Carpets in room also stained, as were cushions on couch. Bathroom mirror was splattered with toothpaste (?) Shower head so calcified only half worked.

The hotel was nasty…there was using all around the toilet, tub had mildew room 208 and 223….bed sheets were used and made up….hotel is not what I expected….it was very unclean and shouldn’t be open

Price and quality was great! However they did not clean or change the bedding on Wednesday as listed… or any of the 7 days that we were there. They did come in and change out towels… just not the bedding

No toilet paper in room at all! Not in roll on the fixture by the toilet or even an extra roll w/ towels. Nada!! Bathtub needs refreshing— needs painting or updated.

Clerk was very efficient and helpful They were able to meet all of my preferences Room was clean, but beginning to show need for updating, but everything was functional
