A number of reviews have commented on the location of this resort. It is located beside the river, about 5km from Hue. At the time of our visit (late April 2024) there was road work on the last couple of km’s of the road before the resort. We were told this should be finished within the next few months. However we had drivers pick us up and drop us off without incident. We also saw other guests using taxis, and we had no problems getting Grab cars to collect us and take us back (for a total cost of less than US$10 for the 2 trips). The shuttle referred to on the hotel website is not currently operating, but we did not see access as an issue. As an upside of the location it was very peaceful at night (our previous stop had been at Hoi An where the river resort we stayed at in the centre had been quite noisy at night.) Some comments have also been made on the gardens being over grown and the resort being run down. We did not see it this way. The gardens are not formal – they include fruit trees which are being farmed for their fruit – but they were being actively maintained. The pool is very nice. (See photos) The room was comfortable and clean and tidy with excellent air conditioning. The bed was very hard and some more storage space in the room would be good. The staff were all friendly and very eager to help with things like organising transport and suggesting places for meals. The resort was not very busy at the time of our stay. As a result, while they had the breakfast buffet operating on our first morning (a weekend), on week days the routine was to collect a form from reception to select your breakfast and time, and drop it back to reception the night before – it was then served in the restaurant at the time chosen. This seemed to work well. We ate in the restaurant the first night, and the food was good, though we were the only people in the room. Most guests seem to opt to get transport into Hue-proper for dinner, where there are lots of great options for a meal. All in all a very pleasant, comfortable and quiet stay.

We came here with our 2 kids, also based on previous good reviews. Unfortunately, we were disappointed with reality. The road to get here is already, let's say, adventurous, but ok, we knew it isn't at the city centre (our taxi driver asked us to tip him more because the road is so bad and he needs a lot of time to get back... From the centre of Hue it's about 30 minutes, and around 150K Dong/6€/6$). The buildings look nice enough and newish, but the grounds look unfinished, with a lot of stuff lying around, mostly dead organic material and fallen fruit. It comes across like someone had started tending to things, but stopped half way through. The people are friendly, we've experienced nothing else in Vietnam, but there's a bit of professionalism missing all across. The room itself was nicely styled and clean, the bed (very) hard, and we found no safe. We've only had breakfast here, no buffet as there weren't enough guests apparently, which was definitely not the best we've had during our trip around Vietnam. Overall we wouldn't come here again, but would probably take a hotel located more centrally, especially for a short stay, as from here, you'll not be able to experience Hue that easily.

We had high expectations as this was a much rated hotel. To give the positives first - great restaurant staff in both restaurants. Lively housekeeping staff and guards at the entrance. Reception - not so good. ‘It properly trained to manage guests requests. Wasn’t helpful with information nor clarity in services. We rented scooters for 3 of us and took them at 1600 when we first arrived. Every time we returned to the hotel, we have the keys to the guards. This is what we did when we finished using the scooters 24 hours later and rhanked the guards telling them we were done as we’d be staying in your chill before checking out the next day. So they wanted to charge us for another day for the scooters - they never told us we had to give the keys back to reception because we collected them from the guards. The Receptionists also agressively asked where was the pen which was in the room. Most hotels expect you to take their pens but on this occasion, we had no idea where it was. I was so mad I left three of my biros for them to use. They wanted to charge us for the pen. This is not to mention that my AirPods which were in the room went missing. The Spa was OK. I added an hour yo my free 30 minute session and when asked to rate, I marked GOOD as it was just that. They asked me to change that to excellent which irritated me and I declined because it wasn’t excellent! Not well trained in etiquette. There are choices of hotels in Hue. Never gain will we stay here. Very disappointing.

高超！這是一家舒適、寧靜、浪漫的飯店，坐落在殖民風格的裝飾藝術別墅內。房間、浴室和家具均以高規格裝修，非常舒適。我為自己訂了一間帶陽台的高級雙人間，後來被升級到了套房。改變一下他們的照片是真的！工作人員都非常友好和樂於助人。當天的接待員安娜安排了一位司機，開著一輛舒適的汽車，帶我參觀了六座皇帝陵墓，並以非常合理的價格將我的豪華轎車挨家挨戶接送到峴港。強烈推薦。

Stayed for 5 nights - Spotlessly clean room of the 3 week trip so far. Do not provide breakfast. Down a short alley next to a mini mart with Orchid Cafe at the end of it . Quy , the manager was fantastic. Arranged DMZ tour with private car inc Vinh Moc tunnels, Quang tri, lunch by the sea including incredible fresh squid and La vang church. Also arrange a boat trip with traditional singing (boat does not move - 100k each. Quy also bought us some local food to sample. Recommend - go and stay there!

A beautiful and stylish resort nested in a lush tropical setting in a quiet and authentic neighborhood just outside Hue. The very efficient, polite and friendly staff provide a perfect service. Comfortable, spacious and very pleasant rooms. Plentiful, well attended breakfast with an very satisfying and complete choice of food options. Big, beautiful and very pleasant pool. The staff kindly but firmly make sure the rules are respected to keep the place quiet and pleasant for everybody. The complimentary 30 minutes spa therapy is a pleasant plus. Kindly upgrade on my second stay. Nothing to fault this lovely place really. Thank you Xin Chao for the kind supervision of my reservation and stay. Looking forward to my next stay at the wonderful Pilgrim Village.
