Unfortunately the pricing of this classic establishment does not justify the experience, and we wish we had stayed elsewhere in this prime location. Rittenhouse square has several other hotels nearby for a fraction of this, all of which are in better condition and offer full amenities.

Unfortunately this was a very bad experience. The room was nice but didn’t even have water in the the room for a 5 star hotel??? The biggest problem was the air conditioning in the room. We could NOT sleep!!! It was so loud I had to call the manager and they tried to accommodate us by changing rooms but as we check each one they all seemed to have the same issue the old HVAC units were sooo noisy we had to leave and ended up driving back home at 12 midnight through the pouring rain! Absolutely the worst experience!

This hotel's glory days are over; you can see it from the moment you cross its threshold. Fortunately, Philly has five-star hotels worthy of note. The Rittenhouse Hotel, in my opinion, is no longer one of them - the value for money certainly contributes to this.
