The Cart House is situated in the village of Gulval with church and pub, and bus service to the stunning picturesque fishing village of St Ives just 6 miles over the hill. It is close to spectacular beaches, cliffs and the rugged Cornish coastline. Corvus is a beautiful cottage situated in the tranquil village of Paul 1/2 mile and only a 10 minute walk from Mousehole. Close to Penzance and local beaches. The cottage is decorated to a high standard, has a fully equipped kitchen and 2 bedrooms sharing a Jack and Jill shower room. A cosy front room with crimson wood burning stove overlooks the garden. Outside there is a sheltered patio area to the front of the house with seating where you can watch the world go by and enjoy a glass of wine.The spaceThe cottage is a great space to relax and unwind with family or friends surrounded by stunning countryside. Sit back, relax and soak up the sunshine in the garden or cosy up in the living area next to the wood burning stove on a cooler evening. The cottage is also heated with modern electric radiators. The kitchen has a table and 4 chairs, a washer dryer and dishwasher, microwave, Stoves induction electric cooker and fridge freezer, a clothes horse, an iron and ironing board. The two bedrooms have comfortable beds with Hypnos mattresses. Towels and bedding are included plus a welcome pack which includes tea, coffee, milk and sugar. BT Broadband WiFi is provided and there is a landline available for UK calls.Artwork - by Caroline Hone is displayed throughout the house. Caroline lived and worked in Trungle for many years before relocating to Scotland. She still has strong connections with the area and we are very lucky to be able to show her work at Corvus. This beautiful one bedroom dwelling dates back to the late 1800's and has been sympathetically restored by the present owners. Situated just a few miles above the village of Mousehole , the small rural hamlet of Chyenhal offers peace and tranquility for those who are looking for a relaxing holiday or short break, yet it is still in very easy reach of all the beautiful beaches , coves, restaurants and locations. One of the most beautiful surfing destinations in the UK.The famous fishing village of Mousehole is a 5 minute drive away , hosting a number of excellent restaurants and art galleries. Mousehole is famous for many events throughout the year including its ( biannual) Sea Salts and Sails festival , July 5th - 17th 2024, Tom Bawcocks Eve on the 23rd December , along with the wonderful Mousehole Christmas lights. Closing the year on New years Eve with a spectacular harbour fireworks display.Porthcurno and Porthchapel beaches, the famous Minack Theatre and Penberth Cove, which is regularly used in the filming of Poldark, are all around a 25 minute drive by car. Take a day trip to the Isle of Scilly, Lands End Air Port - 13 minutes drive - flights are daily . Or catch the ferry from Penzance . The ferry sails daily and is a 5 minute drive away from the property.Visit The Tate St.Ives and stay for lunch at one of the many eateries which serve wonderful locally caught fish dishes. St. Ives is a 30 minute drive away.The Long Barn offers a luxurious accommodation finished to a high standard in a peaceful rural setting.
