This is a very special location, we booked our stay on the same day on the road up from London. Sue could not have been more welcoming! The room was clean, modern and well equiped. There is also very easy access to the pubs and restaurants in Penrith. Sue was very helpful with recommendations. This is an excellent stop-over on the journey to Scotland and we will certainly be coming again. The breakfast next morning was first class - very tasty with good choice and local produce! Highly recommended.

Brooklands Guest house is situated just a few minutes walk from the quaint town of Penrith. It’s set on a beautiful terrace row of Victorian town houses, immaculately kept. Owners Leon and Debbie have beautifully restored this building into a 5 star guest house. The rooms are full of character with everything you could want. Lots of little special touches make it feel homely. You are made to feel very welcome. You will enjoy a peaceful great nights sleep in a comfy bed. The breakfast room is beautiful with a fabulous freshly made breakfast cooked to your liking that will make you want to return again and again. I can recommend a stay at Brooklands if you are looking to holiday in the lakes.
