莫維斯海濱住宿加早餐旅館

Mowies, fantastic location, room, staff, service, food, drink, ambience, amenities. We came to Gilli Air as it wasn't " the party Island ", we booked at Mowies as our son had recommended after he'd visited the island. Mowies is a 10 minute walk along the seaside from the port and main street in Gilli Air or a nice , easy cycle ride. The beachside location has stunning views and guests enjoy reserved sun loungers with umbrella, there's also a pool for when the tide goes out or you want to get away from the beach. Our room was the upstairs balcony room. Great size, functional, cleaned daily and private. The bar isn't noisy and is shut quite early, however I would take earplugs if you're early to bed as there is music played at other bars close by. Food, staff, location were absolutely brilliant. I couldn't point out a single fault. Gilli Air was a haven away from the constant traffic on the mainland and Mowies was the perfect location to sit back, relax and enjoy the peace. I hope to God, the Influencers don't find and ruin it before my next visit.

Hotel is beautiful and food very good. Most of the staff extremely friendly and chatty. Welcome drink was awesome. Room was excellent although a few tiles had fallen off in the shower area which needed replacing. Beach at the hotel does have more coarse sand and some loose coral but you can mostly walk in without problems. Things to improve would be: - Offering mosquito repellant as standard in rooms for guests to use - A better breakfast option if you’ve taken breakfast with the room - I hadn’t, so could order from the entire menu and pay, but if you had you were limited to a sweet or savoury selection, with the savoury having meat (not ideal if you’re vegetarian). Far better to just give guests the option to pick a dish from the main menu. Would definitely go back!

Lovely bungalows. Very clean. The bar and restaurant food is excellent and the cocktails to die for. Right on the beach. Staff are attentive and can’t do enough. Especially sopardi who looked after us and arranged a snorkelling trip with his uncle Alex which was amazing. The only problem was the smell in the evenings behind the back bungalows.

I adored my three nights at Mowie’s and would definitely return. Great location on the west side of the island, on the beach, nice breeze off the water in hot weather, near other restaurants and walking distance to bars / live music. You can walk all over the island or rent a bike to enjoy it some more, I just wished I rented the bike from day one! My room was fantastic, great size, good amenities and clean, plus a seating area on the deck. The food at Mowie’s was also define, I ate breakfast and lunch here multiple times for good reason. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. I cannot rate Mowie’s highly enough!

We came ready and excited to relax for a few days on the beach. We booked a room that was advertised as a deluxe double with a balcony, and ocean view. The pictures made it look newly refurbished. Unfortunately, the reality was totally different. The room was ground floor, and looked straight into the noisy bar and restaurant. We could hear shouting from the kitchen. You could see the ocean if you craned your neck, but there was absolutely no privacy in the room at all. Furthermore, the floors looked old and moldy, and there was really no furniture other than a bed (not even bedside tables) and maybe a chair. This was not the type of place we could see ourselves wanting to relax in. We did not end up staying there - instead, we moved to L’Archipel. We faced some resistance when we asked for a partial refund - even though it seemed like a popular place - and sure enough, when we walked by the next day, we saw someone else had taken the room, so at least they did not lose out on revenue from us. One other note re Gili Air generally - the mosque is incredibly loud and, unlike in the Middle East, goes off for at least one hour each time (including at 3 and 5 am). It was going all night when we stayed, during Ramadan. I don’t think you would hear it too loudly from Mowie’s because of the wind direction, but it made us cut our entire trip short. We will not be returning to the Gilis.
