菲弗鄉村旅舍

This hotel is set in a beautiful garden with views over the mountains. Our hostess Chris was a lovely person and did everything to make us welcome, including inviting us for drinks before we went out for dinner (the restaurant was closed as we were the only guests in off peak season).The rooms are spacious, comfortable and clean and a lot of care has been taken with their decoration. We had free wifi use in the bar area. We had a perfect breakfast and then took coffee in the garden to enjoy the view.

Absolutely stunning property that exudes quality throughout. Chris and Colin were perfect hosts and the food was magnificent. Our room was fabulous but all the rooms seemed large and well equipped. The dining room is very imposing and the bar area cosy and comfortable with lovely views of the mountains and the superb English gardens. We only stayed the one night but wished we could have stayed longer.

We LOVED our stay at Fyffe Country Lodge!! The garden and mountain views were gorgeous (we could easily see why someone would want to be married here), the food was yummy, and Chris and Colin were the perfect hosts!! Our room was AMAZING!! It was very spacious...and had TWO bathrooms!! After breakfast Colin gave us some of his gardening tips (I plan on implementing some of them), and Chris graciously let me pet her sheep and showed me gray pumpkins (I had never seen gray pumpkins before) and some of her beautiful flowers. I didn't want to leave!!

We stayed here for 2 nights . The hosts Chris & Colin were extremely gracious and welcoming . We dined in both nights and enjoyed our meals with lovely wines. The breakfast was equally good plentiful and fresh. Lovely figs & peaches from their garden were delicious. They gave us the honeymoon suite which had excellent views of their garden and the mountains with stunning sunsets every evening. The garden is beautifully manicured with excellent backdrop of mountains. We wish them all the best in their business and recommend people try staying out of the town where it is so busy and crowded. Fyffe Lodge was one of the best lodges we stayed in.

Lovely and quaint cottage, reminded me of staying at my grandmother’s house. Rooms were spacious and very well appointed, with both refrigerator and coffee /tea service. The hosts are simply a joy , we so appreciated our time spent visiting with them both. Being gardeners we were very interested in the flowers and the vegetable gardens they had, were recipients of fresh hydrangeas in the room and fresh vegetables and herbs in our meals. The food is wonderful, always fresh and both Chris and Colin are most accommodating. This is well worth the stay, such a lovely and comfortable spot to relax after busy days in Kaikoura.

Fyffe country lodge is a quaint, charming country house with impeccable style and comfort. The rooms were beautifully furnished and classy. Beds were comfy and the shower powerful and hot but what really made our stay extra special were our hosts Chris and Colin who were exceptionally friendly, helpful and kind to us. The breakfasts were sumptuous and delicious and we would highly recommend staying there.
