Holiday Inn 休斯敦韋伯斯特(Holiday Inn Houston-Webster)

We received one of the rooms that had a horrible smell like mildew, and it has white powder on the edge of carpet by air conditioner. Notified front desk for new room. Two people showed up to room with 2 different sprays to spray down room to cover odor. We declined the spray due to someone had already sprayed before we got there. We did not get a new room and had to endure the horrible smell. Do not stay here it is not a very clean facility!!

Overall, it was a good stay. The room was clean and spacious, and the staff was friendly and prompt. My main dislike is there was hair in most of my towels. They had obviously been cleaned, but hair from previous users was tangled into the towels. I got more and it was still the same issue. I usually bring my own but forgot this time.

I enjoyed the comfort of the bed and couch. The breakfast was kept full and the food was good. they only problem I had was the AC in my room. It seemed like it would not cool down in my room until well after the sun went down.

Room can use an upgrade. Lighting did not work, room was very dark. I had to switch bulbs at one point. Room could use a sofa or a sofa bed also.

Th room I got was right above the pool on the second floor, the room was ok but the moisture level was high and you could smell the pool water from the room. I was required to filled out the form, with my contact information ( email and phone). And signed the forms! My credit card was charged $25 , the front desk said it’s for the incidental purpose.

Let me first say that the employees of the hotel were lovely and very helpful. My issue is that when I called up, I specifically stated we wanted to book 2 rooms for my mother‘s birthday, because she really wanted to go swimming in a heated pool. At 80 years old the idea of swimming in Coldwater is not fun. They assured me they had a heated pool. It was functioning and open till 10 PM so I booked the rooms and we made plans and showed up the following week for a reservation. We were told that the pool was open we went upstairs got dressed, came back down and found the pool to be locked and not even filled halfway. We asked what was going on. They said that they had to clean the pool so they had to empty the water halfway which didn’t make any sense if you’re cleaning the pool what was in it that you had to empty the water halfway and not fully and why they wouldn’t have told us that. They said it would be up and running the next morning. They were going to fill it that evening and have it ready for the morning. So we went back upstairs changed and waited till the next morning, which we were then told, could not swim in the pool, because the chlorine was too high . They had to wait for it to dissipate which would take hours so then we went out and came back that evening and were told it was still too high and people were getting sick from the smell. So on our last day when we had to leave by 11, we tried to get my mom in there and there was literally 37 people in the pool .

We stayed in the second floor and the people upstairs made to much noise. We were woken up each day around 3 am of people stomping around my when we decided to take a nap around 3 the people upstairs made so much noise we called the front desk twice with no luck
