林霍夫精品民宿

Een prachtige lokatie en een nette ingerichte kamer met uitzicht aan zee. Een zeer vriendelijke en gastvrije gastvrouw. Twee aandachtspunten: als er staat dat er ‘designated smoke areas’ zijn dan is dit mijn inziens niet het balkon waar overal een asbak staat en waar wij dus veel last hebben van het gerook van de buren. Verder ben ik van mening dat de prijs per nacht bij Linhof (R3600,-) veel en veel te hoog is. Een goed maar zeer eenvoudig ontbijt en niet de echte luxe die je voor deze, zeker voor Zuid Afrikaanse begrippen, prijs mag verwachten.

De eigenaresse is een vreselijk mens zeer klantonvriendelijk en sarcastisch. Kamers zijn vies en verouderd en het tapijt wordt met een bezem geveegd. Bed was klein 140x180 Het ontbijt is zeer sober en de koffie is uit een kan alsook de thee.wat dus ook naar koffie smaak! Na ontbijt gaat alle luiken dicht dus voelt het doods aan! NOOIT MEER!!

The place is the most dirty we ever have been to. Reception was very quick, only a few information and then the staff disappeared and was never seen after. It was a spooky atmosphere and an awful and disgusting smell in the house - we felt lost. After a very short information we checked the room ourselves and found used bedlinnen with hair of the guests before us on it. The highlight was the bathroom - massive fungus in the shower, worn out and tworn towels and an almost empty plastic bottle of liquid soap as an "amenity". Not even the fantastic view from the balcony onto the atlantic ocean couls hold us from running away from this inhospitable place. When you consider the prize you feel ripped off.

This is our second time here and we always enjoy it, well located with a friendly owner and staff, amazing views and excellent breakfasts (thanks Shirley!!) Fall out of bed and your on the beach. We'll be back!!

Really safe and secure guest house right on the beach. You can walk to all the restaurants in paternoster from here. The beach is a stones throw away and accessible by a few steps from the rear of the property, our room looked directly over the beach. The staff are fab, and on the second morning the host served up fresh lobster and scrambled eggs which was delightful. I’ll book again next time I visit

My wife and I recently visited Paternoster and came upon Linhof, a beachfront guesthouse situated close to the Paternoster Waterfront. Although my wife and I stayed elsewhere, we popped in to say hello to to our daughter and then we met Marianne, the owner who invited us to come back the next morning and join our daughter for breakfast. That breakfast was quite an exceptional experience! We had a table at a window overlooking the beach a stone’s throw away with a great view of the shoreline. The previous evening we had sat next to that breakfast window outside our daughter's room on a verandah with loungers, enjoying the beauty of the spot. With the sea next to us we had a wonderful breakfast which started with fruits , muesli, yoghurt, coffee and all the normal items of a good breakfast. But then Marianne did something special for us. She offered us a special dish of lobster and eggs. A Paternoster moment! Delightfully delicious and worth a photograph. Absolutely outstanding.
