Hotel is in a great location, however “rustic charm” simply means old, worn down and worn out. The Lodge is in dire need of a renovation. We stayed in the main lodge (not cabins) so I can’t speak of them. Our room (2) had a hole in the ceiling and I could see a tarp stuffed up there (presumably to keep out rain?). The floor was damp near the bathroom and generally the room was unclean and shabby, patched and mended. Doors and walls are paper thin (in the bathroom I could hear our neighbor snoring). Dinner is billed as fine dining. Food was good but as expensive as big city ($50 entrees) and definitely NOT worth the price. Breakfast was very poor. Basically $25 for toast, packets of instant oatmeal (or some cereal), muffins, eggs, brought out on a tray (or delivered to room in a bag). Think a Holiday inn type breakfast - but without the hot items. Wouldn’t recommend at all.
DdioforrioWe actually stayed in January 2022 but it would not let me select that date. This inn was simple, no frills, but we didn’t really need any. Just needed somewhere clean and safe that didn’t cost and arm and a leg, just somewhere to lay our heads after skiing. Only the most simple rooms were available as week booked pretty close to the trip date, but on the morning of our check out we saw some of the suites/larger rooms available as they were being cleaned and they looked really cool. My main issue was them not having a microwave in the room. This is just a basic element that all hotels should and usually do have. Especially if you are going to have a mini fridge where you might stash left overs, you should have a microwave. Or what if you just want to reheat your coffee? If they could make that simple upgrade I think all their guests would appreciate. Otherwise I had not complaints about our stay. It was warm, clean, and quiet. Great inexpensive stay.
We needed a room with three beds so the Edelweiss sufficed!. The room was sparsely furnished with minimal equipment, for instance no chairs to sit on, and no racks for your suitcases. I think this place was built many years ago, and though clean, it sure hasn't been updated. And it isn't cheap. The cable tv service is terrible and the beds are old ticking mattresses on open coil springs which make a racket everytime you turn over. I wouldn't stay here again for the money, but it would be okay if you like rustic.
RRonald AIt was a case of catch your own mouse when we stayed three nights at Cinnamon Bear Inn. On the first morning at the Mammoth Lakes B&B, we awoke to find a rodent had gnawed one of the peaches on the table. We moved all our food to a better location. Later, the desk clerk gave us some traps. (It's hard to imagine this happening at a legitimate inn or hotel.) We also set out some almonds. On the second morning -- we were half-awake listening all night long -- the almonds were gone but no mouse. So this time we put an almond in the trap, and on the third morning, when we were to check out, we found the mouse stuck there. Cinnamon Bear Inn is poorly staffed; there was no manager on duty till 9.00 a.m. (She hadn't been too accommodating on another matter anyway.) So it was up to us to decide what to do to end the suffering of the poor mouse. There's no neat way to handle it, but I took care of it before we loaded up the car and headed home. We will always remember our stay at Cinnamon Bear Inn for the wrong reasons and don't recommend that you go there.
訪訪客A well presented economy type motel. Staff were super friendly, rooms ultra clean and it’s located close by many local attractions. The two rather minor downsides were the terrible in-house wifi and difficulty in regulating the room temperature. I would be happy to stay again if the opportunity arose
訪訪客用戶This place did not feel like a hostel more like you were staying in someone’s home. Plenty of free parking and walking distance from the village. Great location and one of the lowest priced accommodations you can find in Mammoth. I’ve stayed at other higher priced locations that were not as nice. Friendly staff, clean and comfortable rooms.
