One of the best ryokans in Kesennuma! The entire place is exceptionally clean, and the rooms are very spacious with a separate bath and toilet inside—a rare find in many other ryokans. The dinner was incredible, featuring the freshest local seafood like uni (sea urchin), oysters, and beautifully prepared sashimi. A nice bonus: if you call in advance, they’ll even pick you up from the nearest station in a mini car. Highly recommended for a relaxing and authentic stay!

This is a majestic place to stay. Fantastic room, onsen and staff hospitality. It is also walkable but includes an incline that is a bit perilous. The breakfast buffet was infinite but somehow looked better than it tasted. There are numerous transportation options that I didn’t know about before arrival so be sure to inquire.
