When my wife and I arrived at the Hotel Beauvoir for our 5 night stay, we were told our room was on the 5th floor. We were given our card keys and told to use the lift separately as it could only hold one adult with a suitcase. I was informed that when the lift opened on the 5th floor to switch on the wall light. However when I arrived on the floor it was pitch black and I couldn't see the wall, let alone the switch. However I used my torch phone to find the switch. The room itself was quite small and there was very little floor space to fit two suitcases and accompanying bags. It was difficult to open the balcony doors because the double bed was obviously too large for the room. The air vent in the bathroom was uncovered and filled with dirt and dust (the vent was finally covered on our last day). There was very minimal space between the bed and bathroom wall and door. We believe the room itself is a single room size only which was turned into a "double room" for our benefit. The height of the bathtub also made access to the shower difficult and quite dangerous for elderly guests when exiting onto wet, slippery tiles. The good points were that all the staff were pleasant, accommodating and very helpful. The location was excellent and the view from the balcony was magnificent. We believe the hotel is more suited to younger couples who are more adaptable and can adjust to unusual situations. However we really enjoyed our time in Paris and the always welcome smiles we received each time we left and returned to the Hotel. Thank You Jim and Di Kelly
