This is my second time stay at the Lalit Chandigarh First time was not good so is the second time I am totally disappointed I had booked a room with club fa8,when we reached confirmed the same and was told that evening tea and snacks are from 4 to 6 pm and happy hours from 6 to 8 pm,was mentioned that time that club lounge was under renovation so tea and snacks will be served in resta6 I had to go to an event so went to coffee shop at 5 for evening tea and snacks but only cappuccino was readily available and I was told by restaurant manager that rest of the things will take at least 25 min Had not got so much time so left I do not know why charge for a facility which you do not have I have travelled to a lot of places and in club facility things are already prepared and ready to be served

We have stayed at the Lalit Chandigarh 5 times before between 2916 and 2019. The hotel is tired. Service is shocking to say the least. On checking in, our specific large room we booked was leaking water from aircon. We were offered a small room as compromise. We complained, only to be moved to another small room. We requested an upgrade but was refused, not even at a reduced price. We then requested our original room to be repaired while we waited and have a drink in the bar. What a poorly stocked bar. No Kingfisher Lager, only 2 Ultra. Minimal cocktails available. We asked whether our bikes we hired had arrived. The manager and concierge said no, they will enquire and let us know. Half hour later our agent calls and says the hotel refuses to let the bikes in and we need to assist. This after we already advised management to expect our bikes. The room is basic. Mini bar not stocked. Everything is grimey. The bathroom has black mould everywhere. Even around the basin where you are supposed to brush your teeth. We were offered no apologies, no compensation and no effort to make us happy. If we had not pre paid the hotel, we would have left and gone to the JW Marriot. We visit Chandigarh almost every year and stay at the Lalit. This was the last time. We are moving hotels in the morning. This experience is shocking from a Lalit Hotel. Two upsides, Rakesh from the bar was amazing- this young *** will go far. Food in room was very good. The service and presentation was bad, but the food was good.
