聖弗朗西斯科修道院飯店(Monasterio de San Francisco)

Je recommande sans hésitation ce bel endroit. D'un calme incroyable. Petit déjeuner au top

Espectacular y Monasterio grande dentro del pueblo de la Palma del Río. Cuenta con varios claustros, huerta propia, terraza, piscina y estancias típicas de un monasterio para las habitaciones y restaurantes. Muy autentico y buen conservado en general. A mejorar la insonorización de las habitaciones, la campana De la Iglesia se te mete como si estuviera debajo de la almohada. Al igual que las celebraciones que tenga ese día. Bar terraza tendría que abrirse al menos los fines de semana. Y en general vendría bien, algo más de mantenimiento de pintura.

Tercer año que repetimos a nuestro retiro familiar en el monumental hotel del Monasterio. Los claustros, salones y sus jardines nos hacen ser actores principales de la serie El Ministerio del Tiempo y retroceder a la época colombina. En verano no querrás salir de la piscina.

This place is a converted monastery. Its restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It has a very large outdoor pool. Much of the food its restaurant serves is grown in its spacious garden. The town of Palma Del Rio is walkable from the hotel. It has AC, an elevator, two floors, but no screens on the windows. The rooms are large but the bathrooms are on the small side.

Un espacio monumental para disfrutar entre sus muros llenos de historia y arte también de su piscina y jardín huerta al estilo árabe, un remanso de paz. Las habitaciones amplias y cómodas, baño con ducha excelente y también bañera. El personal muy amable y eficiente. La comida del restaurante estupenda. Seguro que volveremos

Stayed here as part of our cycling trip. A former Franciscan monastary bulit in 1492, it was turned into a lovely hotel about 20 years ago. Every wall and ceiling was beautiful. Our room was spacious and overlooked the working gardens and very large pool. If you happen to be in Palma, stay here!

This place is eye candy. I couldn't get enough of the beautiful architecture and arches. We first had room 17, which was bigger than what we got, but it was darker and farther away from our friends. So, we got room 10, good sized bedroom and bathroom, with bidet and shuttered windows. Two twins pushed together which was fine by me. Small refrigerator, closet space and lights by the bed and a desk...really a charming room. Ouside our window was the pool. Taking a walk around the property was fun, as well, seeing the gardens and fruit trees and piece de resistance, the courtyard with 2 colors of bougainvillea with tables and umbrellas. How wonderfully inviting. Breakfast had all the fare one needed. And our bike Tour ate there for dinner one night and it was lovely, as well. We had a long table all set up for 12 people, very attentive servers and the food was delish. Need to say something about this small town...its easy to get around by walking and the perfect size for shopping. Oh, and don't be afraid of the church bells, they stop at bedtime.

Somebody has spent millions renovating this old monastery and turning it into a great hotel. It is totally under used, maybe a quarter of the rooms occupied but you stay in a very extensive historic building with a great pool and grounds. The rate on the superior bedroom door was 250 euro, we paid only £80. Not worth 250e but certainly worth more than £80 and breakfast was worth the extra - great setting.

Amazing hotel. Very quiet room. Enjoyed the wonderful breakfast a lot. The personnel was very friendly. The owner has a charming dog that was a lot of fun to watch, running around. The hotel is a beautifully restored monastery, one feels part of history when staying. Highly recommended!
