We spent one night here while on a driving trip. We recommend the place highly. The couple that owns and remodeled the house are a font of information and are very good to talk to. Parts of the house date back to the Civil War, but the building has been heavily modernized. Still, it's historic and you'll love the public rooms. Our bedroom was fine. The area around the house is filled with historic buildings. The Battle of Paducah in the Civil War took place in the neighborhood. The Ohio River is several blocks away.

An absolutely beautiful home in a great location. Cary and Melinda were kind and gracious and thoughtful hosts. Their restoration of this historic house has been a labor of love, and it shows. The breakfasts were outstanding, and our room was spacious and comfortable. A top notch experience.

Wow, what an awesome stay we had at the Belle Louise Historic Guest House!!! We enjoyed our time there and our hosts, Cary and Melinda made it a memorable experience. They went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed, and provided everything we needed to be comfortable in their home. They gave great recommendations on places to visit and local eateries! You really have to stop there if you’re in the area. Paducah and the Belle Louise are worth your time!!!

Fabulous! From initial reservation to check out, Cary and Melinda provided outstanding service with such personal attention to detail. Their restoration efforts were amazing. This fabulous home is a beacon in the lovely historic community of Paducah, Ky.

Amazing! Beautiful! Great owners! We were welcomed with a lovely cocktail and given a tour. Our room & the house was decorated in gorgeous antiques but had modern amenities. Enjoyed sitting on the front porch and learning about the house’s history. Breakfast was outstanding! We will be back!

We stayed in the Queen Bee room. It was very clean, comfortable and inviting. Everything was perfect in the room. The location was walkable to Broadway and many restaurants, lounges and shops. Kudos to Melinda for our Saturday morning breakfast-it was sooo good. Cary and Melinda are great hosts. They shared a lot of interesting history and stories about the home and renovation process. They were also extremely helpful in recommending restaurants and things to do. Thank you so much for your hospitality and the bourbon happy hour :)! We will definitely visit again.

Our hosts were gracious, considerate of our needs, knowledgable about the community, and interesting people. The home is very clean, cheerful and romantic. It has several interesting pieces of furniture and furnishings. The rooms are spacious. One doesn’t feel cramped, despite the Victorian penchant to fill up living spaces. Bed and bath top tier. The location is perfect, as it is in a nice neighborhood close to downtown Paducah. The nightly fee is reasonable, taking the entire experience into consideration.
