查爾斯太平洋格羅夫 - 精心設計的全包型旅館

I truly had high hopes for this new bed and breakfast in lovely Pacific Grove. The pictures and reviews are what made my decision to stay here, however, I was very disappointed in our experience. Let me preface that we frequent bed and breakfast inns because of the warmth, intimate and welcoming nature of the establishments. During our stay, they just hired a new innkeeper who was not friendly, helpful, nor welcoming at all. I observed her to be on her phone more times than not. When I asked if I could have some bottled water, she said "We don't carry that". Then I pulled out my phone and pointed out on the website that the Acqua Panna Artisan Water should be complimentary. She immediately grabbed my phone out of my hands, without my permission btw, and started reading the amenities back to me out loud and then followed with "nope we still don't have any". Wow!!! I couldn't believe how rude she was. Ok, well I then asked for some coffee because we were told upon check in that coffee would be available at 7am. It was 7:20am, but still no coffee and that we would have to wait until 8am. I further tried to have idle chit chat with her about the home, location, etc.., but again, she kept looking at her phone uninterested in me and the other guests loitering around the living room. Dear owners, I urge you to please train your new innkeepers to be more engaging, polite, and more helpful with your guests. Your B&B has potential and it saddens me to write this review, however, I feel strongly to let others know of our poor experience. Other problems we encountered - few tight parking spaces; loud nonstop music at night filtering downstairs so loud it bothered our sleep; peeling wallpaper in shower (King room); bathroom soap dispensers not working ( I gave up and just opened them and did my best); cookies at night need to cool down before serving because they were all stuck together as if they were hastily made. Some tips - as lovely as the vases/antiques are on the dining room table, they're in the way of conversation when others are eating. Also, a printout of the history of the mansion would be nice. Again, we loved the decor of the mansion, kudos to the designer! However, you need to hire the right people to interface and welcome your guests properly. That truly is the bottom line no matter how beautiful your place is - it's how you make us feel.

Dieses Hotel ist schlicht ein Traum. Ein Märchenschloss, wo alles perfekt aufeinander abgestimmt ist. Wir waren noch nie in einem derart schönen Hotel. Die beiden Gastgeber Ian & Kiersten führen dieses Hotel mit unglaublich viel Liebe und Perfektion. Ich durfte auch den Designer (und Mitinhaber) Charles, kennen lernen. Eine tolle Begegnung mit einem Menschen der eine richtige Passion für die perfekte Hotelgestaltung hat. - Der Empfang durch die Gastgeber herzlich und persönlich. Man ist gleich daheim. - Das Frühstück war sensationell! Alleine die Präsentation der Delikatessen haben wir noch nirgends so gesehen. Alles frisch zubereitet und in edlen Portionen bereit gestellt. - Es standen am Nachmittag und gegen Abend kleine, selbst gemachte Snacks, Kuchen, Früchte bereit. - Unsere Wohnung hatte 3 Zimmer, wobei eines der Zimmer ein bezauberndes Turmzimmer darstellte - Das Hotel ist verwinkelt und überall hängen stimmige Bilder die auch mit der Geschichte des Hauses zu Tun haben - Die Inneneinrichtung der Räume perfekt abgestimmt - Die Umgebung sehr sicher und das Meer in Gehdistanz. Auch Monterey ist mit Auto/Uber/Lyft in 5-10 Minuten zu erreichen - Die Umgebung besticht mit unzähligen schönen Häuschen und Häusern - Parkplatz direkt vor dem Haus im Innenhof - Das Hotel ist bestimmt etwas teurer als Andere, aber jeden Dollar/Euro wert Wir würden alleine wegen dieses Hotels wieder in diese Gegend fahren und viel länger bleiben. 1000 Dank, Kiersten und Ian für dieses Erlebnis

Extremely quiet, comfortable, and cozy. Great bed, and I find that to be quite rare. I loved the decor using all vintage or reproduction pieces. Exquisitely designed. In the evening they offer quality wine and evening beverages, too. I highly recommend The Charles when staying in PG. I’m a local, so I should know!!

We had a wonderful stay at The Charles Pacific Grove. This B&B struck a rare balance of comfort and style. My wife called it elevated coziness. It’s in a great location, close to the ocean and an easy walk to downtown Pacific Grove. A short distance from Asilomar Beach and Cannery Row. Breakfast was lovely, and the evening social hour was such a nice treat and a great way to unwind. The innkeeper and staff were fantastic: friendly, attentive, and helpful. Check-in and check-out were seamless, and they made us feel right at home. If you are looking for a beautifully designed and welcoming B&B in a great location, we are happy to recommend it.

Recently renovated and opened with delightful designed atmosphere from The name "The Charles" to the whimsical play on title with the portrait of Queen Elizabeth over the fireplace. Well appointed common areas for wine, sherry and appetizers every afternoon to the same place for fresh baked cookies each eve, to really a continental breakfast each morning. Comfy enough to sit and converse with other guests if you and they choose. I met a delightful couple and their adult daughter one afternoon and shared breakfast the next morning. The rooms also were delightfully appointed and comfortable. Staff were amazing and friendly and responsive. Including making me capuchin in the morning. Well situated to walk to many things in Pacific Grove, as well as to drive further a field. Free parking on property. No reservation in recommending and will come again .

The place is unique and very classy, the hostess is great the design is so impressive love this place. Great blue berries
