Avoid. A tasteless hotel that hosts awful DJ sets and has tacky LED lighting all over the place and a strange werewolf creature displayed in the window from last halloween no doubt. The building could be used more efficiently as a nice cozy pub but instead its lost its way and is just a hovel.

At £100 a night with free parking, you get what you pay for. Have stayed here a couple of times, and it’s been fine as a base. You expect some level of noise and disruption, it’s a pub on a busy road. Stayed here this weekend and was happy that we got a room at ground level with no stairs and easy access. Once in the room and got properly acquainted, there were a couple of things that were not ok, even for a cheap and cheerful break. The kitchen was filthy The bathroom windows full of mould The shower is dangerous, either freezing you to death or giving you third degree burns. No water pressure so the toilet doesn’t flush . Didn’t see the point in saying anything, we were only going to be in the room at night and we would manage. On the Sunday afternoon we had returned to the room for a rest, to be woken up by ridiculously loud music- a DJ had set up right outside the bedroom window, the room and the windows were shaking and it was unbearable. Quickly got ready and left to go out for food. We returned at around 10 pm to find the music still playing, you could hear it from the Magdalen bridge. The beer garden was rammed, which is obviously good for business but there was a very strong smell of ****. Not judging and I was glad people were having a good time, each to their own and all that. But there was absolutely no thought for guests. I asked why we hadn’t been informed of the event and apparently it was a last minute thing. So tough luck basically. This completely ruined what had been a lovely weekend up to that point. I don’t think the place should be advertising as anything other that a place for contractors to stay, it’s lost it’s focus and is an absolute hovel.

Inaceptable. No se debe ofrecer un alojamiento para descansar en el mismo lugar en que celebran fiestas con música a volumen ensordecedor y que hacía vibrar la habitación hasta altas horas. Un sitio al que no habría ido si alguien nos hubiera advertido que hacen este tipo de cosas. No puedo entender cómo se permite algo así. Pagar por descansar y no poder pegar ojo en toda la noche. Además, los colchones blandos, de malisima calidad. Por otro lado, junto a mi habitación había un motor sonando ininterrumpidamente.

Debo aclarar que solo utilice el servicio de pub.Al respecto me parecio un muy simpatico bar con mesas de madera en el exterior y una muy bonita ambientacion interior.Sin duda buen lugar para disfrutar de unas buenas cervezas tiradas

We intended to visit a cocktail bar after the dinner, but when we arrived, the place had closed down. We noticed this pub on the way back and called in. The interior was pleasantly warm on a cold night. Unfortunately, a lot of the beers were not available, but my partner had an excellent pint of Guinness. I had a Cruz Campo which was okay.

Sadly this pub is not up to scratch. The public areas and rooms need a proper clean. The bedding and beds are old. I stayed in a tiny room that was very tired. You could also hear noise. The en-suite walls had not been wiped down and the whole room needed to be vacuumed as did the communal areas. The room had also been occupied by a smoker as evidenced by the cigarette ash in various places.
