Dans un vieil édifice très bien entretenu, nous avons été accueilli par une dame vraiment gentille. Elle était une des propriétaires. Elle nous a très bien expliqué le fonctionnement de son B&B en nous faisant visiter les aires communes. La tranquillité était au rendez-vous. Étant un vieil édifice, le craquement des planchers, les boiseries nous ont charmé. Les lieux étaient très propre. Nous avions un climatiseur dans notre chambre pour bien dormir avec l’humidité extérieure qu’il y avait. Au déjeuner, café, chocolat chaud, thé, croissant, fruits, pains, jus d’orange etc. Situé près de la rue Elgin, il y avait des restaurants et bars à proximité. À 15 -20 min de la colline parlementaire, il y a bcp d’options d’activités.

Excellent stay in August 2024. Beautiful century home. Great continental breakfast. Had room on 3rd floor. Very comfortable. Clean. Good bed. Shower was excellent. The location is perfect. Close to Elgin Street restaurants. Walking distance to downtown Ottawa. Lucie is very nice. We will be back. Highly recommended

We really enjoyed our stay at the Rideau Inn. Lucie, our host was very attentive and accomondating to our needs and wants! We stayed in both the one bedroom w/ bathroom and a one bedroom with a bathroom/shower down the hall. Both worked fine. Generally the neighbourhood was very quiet, and lots of eating establishments close by. The location was very good, with easy walking to Parliament (20 min.). The continental breakfast was just perfect to start the day. Would highly recommend.

Awesome BnB. Wonderful staff. Great communication, very welcoming check in. I was allowed to check-in at 1pm - that's rare in hospitality, and it's fantastic!!! If you have a small vehicle the $10 parking is worth it (small tight parking lot, so be mentally prepared to take it slow and carefully as you park). The location is outstanding. Walking distance to bars, restaurants, cafes, shops, and all sorts of other attractions. It's in a really nice and safe neighbourhood. The value is great. Some rooms have ensuite bathroom, others don't, so be sure to pick the room that suits your style. The common areas are really nice. Note: the fridge is in the common area. Extremely clean and well maintained. I visit Ottawa about twice a year, this is going to be my go-to overnight accommodation from now on. This is an official bed and breakfast, not a "shady ghost airbnb hotel" that takes away housing stock from Ottawa locals. I encourage you to support this hard working and genuine small business!

My husband and I and his brother booked two rooms at the Rideau Inn. It was an extremely good value, convenient to almost everything Ottawa has to offer. This is a beautifully maintained older home that is spotlessly clean. We had rooms with en suite bathrooms. Each room is different. We made ample use of the lovely common areas to plan our excursions. Lucie, our host, was super helpful when we had questions. The self serve continental breakfast included croissants, muffins, toast, cereal, fruit, hard boiled eggs, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, orange juice, real creamer and more. This was an excellent experience and we wouldn't think of staying anywhere else when next we visit Ottawa. P.S. the annual Tulip Festival is great!

I loved my quaint and spacious room and the location of Rideau Inn, right next to the hotspots on Elgin Street and only a 20-minute walk from Parliament Hill! The bathroom was not located in the room I stayed in, but out in the hallway, which didn't bother me in the slightest. Some rooms do come with private bathrooms located inside the room, but I got a hidden gem with a larger room that had a ton of character. The bathroom wasn't huge, but it had everything a bathroom needs with great water pressure and heat. The bed was made daily, thanks to Lucie and the bathroom stocked with fresh towels. There is also a fresh breakfast available every morning for only $2. If you want a modern facility, then this is not the right place for you... but if you like old world charm and character... like I do... then you will enjoy the Rideau Inn.

Maison ancestrale super propre et confortable. Les planchers font du bruits mais la beauté de ce bnb en vaux la peine. Le coin déjeuner est très bien pensé. L'administration est super sympathique aussi! Le seul bémol, qui n'en est pas réellement un, est que je ne pourrais pas faire découvrir cette magnifique endroit à mes deux adorables enfants bruyants. Si je revien à Ottawa, je reviendrai volontier y séjourner.
