Moved from a hotel a little south of Namba and, honestly, the Garner room was twice the price, half the size, and without any add-ons. In the earlier hotel we had breakfast, all day tea/coffee/ice cream and evening cocktails all included. The welcome drink and snacks here were a joke and best not advertised. Platinum membership was not recognised or acknowledged until I asked for my late check-out, then to 2pm. The room itself was bright, fresh and clean. Two channels on the TV available in English, one being CNN out of the US (so "Good Morning" at nighttime etc.). Bathroom was clean with a powerful shower and stable water temperature. This is our first stay at a Garner so I don't know their worldwide branding, but I would say one would expect Japan made toiletries in a Japan hotel. This and the first noted lack of "extras" suggest a more expensive property being cheap. Like this, there are better alternatives.
