Wir haben eine Nacht im Sagafjord Hotel verbracht und waren sehr zufrieden mit dem Aufenthalt. Lage: Sæbø ist ein kleines, ruhiges Dorf am malerischen Hjørundfjord. Es gibt viel Natur und gute Wandermöglichkeiten in der Gegend. Neben dem Hotel, zwei Campingplätzen und einem Fährhafen bietet Sæbø nur wenig Infrastruktur. Die nächstgrösseren Ortschaften Ørsta und Volda sind rund 25 Autominuten entfernt. Hotel: Die Anlage hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Die traditionellen Holzhäuser mit Torfdach passen perfekt zur schönen Natur von Sæbø. In der Lobby lädt ein gemütlicher Kamin zu einem Drink oder einer Lektüre ein. Das Design ist typisch skandinavisch, schlicht und mit viel Holz. Zimmer: Unser Zimmer im Hauptgebäude war gross und gemütlich eingerichtet. Die Matratze war für unseren Geschmack etwas zu weich. Das Badezimmer mit Walk-in Dusche war geräumig und schick. Alles war sauber und ordentlich. Gastronomie: Das Frühstücksbuffet war abwechslungsreich und reichhaltig. Neben den üblichen Klassikern wie Joghurt, Käse, Trockenfleisch und Rauchlachs waren auch Eierspeisen und andere warme Speisen (Speck, Bohnen, etc.) vorhanden. Service: Freundliches einheimisches Personal, das viele Tipps für Aktivitäten und Sehenswürdigkeiten in der Gegend parat hält. Fazit: Wir hatten einen schönen Aufenthalt und können das Sagafjord Hotel bedenkenlos weiterempfehlen.

What a disappointment! Probably one of the best location we have seen in Norway but service is totally absent, the rooms are with minimal comfort and noisy… breakfast is strictly minimal. Yes they do have 2 chargers for cars but they do not know…. A joke from a county with so many electric cars ! Honestly, I believe that no one is in charge and we have seen absolutely no manager on duty. I put just above the minimum thanks to the incredible situation….

The wonderful experience started from a conversation with the hotel manager about our booking, a warm welcome, help to the room ( rare in Norway) and personable dining and front office staff. They were from Norway, Iceland, Canada, Isan in Thailand and Chile. Our puppy and we had such a great stay that we have decided to come back in two months. Tusen hjertelig takk!!!

We just finished our stay at Hotel Saga Fjord. We didn’t know what to expect, and I can say that we really enjoyed our stay. Saebo is a perfect little town that is not frequented by tour buses and is very beautiful. The hotel itself is just right. The rooms are nice, with some amazing views. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, giving great ideas on where to hike and sightsee. Breakfast and dinners are just right-not fancy, but really good. This is a great alternative to the famous Hotel union Oye, which is not far, but a lot less value- for our three nights stay there plus dinners, we paid what we would’ve paid for a one night stay at the union Oye. Highly recommend this place
