I don't know where the high ratings for such a bellow-average facility come from. The villa is not heated, cobwebs and dirt everywhere. It smells like mens sweat. It was as if no one had seer foot in the building for months, let alone cleaned it. The rooms are too small, claustrophobic with no place to store clothes, the pillows and bed linen are worn, they feel damp, the WiFi is too weak, the TV does not work, the light is too weak, the noise and unpleasant smells from the toilet are unbearable. In one word - Horror. When he came to pick us up at the airport, the landlord charged three times more than the taxi fare (we found out later). He was constantly drunk and inarticulate. His very presence made us uncomfortable. The city was beautiful but quite dead. Avoid Vila Jidro and so called 'owner' in a wide arc if you don't want a vacation from hell. Lowest rating.

We booked directly at the facility since it had good ratings. Disappoin**ent is an understatement. The owner is unpleasant, the rooms are small with no room for things and Internet is bad. Breakfast is always the same and the price is extra and too high. When we wanted to shorten our stay, he didn't want to let us return the money we paid in advance. A rare bad experience. Trogir is beautiful and you should definitely visit it, but bypass Vila Jidro in a wide arc. I'm sorry that 0 is the lowest rating because this property deserves even less.

Very clean and well sized twin room. Bit disconcerted to find that housekeeping had to be requested and that it extended to only changing towels and topping up drinks. Reception is not manned. Tried to check out at 9am and again reception was not manned, leading to a text message that we were late to check out, as we had gone off for breakfast. Suggest reception is manned between 8 and 10am if that is their checkout time and they want to avoid these issues. Owner is lovely and offers great airport shuttle. Very close to Old Town and also adjacent to several small shops in case you need anything.

Nice room for our short stay. Renato at front desk was extremely nice and helpful. Make sure you follow the check-in info on ******* since the front desk is not manned 24 hours a day. We had no way to call without cell service. Fortunately another guest came shortly after we arrived and let us in the building. We were locked out of the building with our luggage for a short while. Renato came within 5 minutes after the other guest called him. This was our fault as we did not follow the checkin instructions. The room was clean. Bathroom modern. Good shower. Small refrigerator. Location excellent for walking Trogir area for shops, tours and restaurants. Would recommend.

Great location

The location of Villa Jidro is awesome. There are restaurants and store just outside the door or the old town of Trogir just a few minutes across the bridge away. Check-in was easy and the hospitality grand! We will definitely be back!
