Nice amenities and food is very good

Good- The hospitality and standards of taj were very well maintained. The garden area is beautiful. Breakfast was great!! Not so good - the 2 bedroom suite had just one bathroom and the suits are in the middle of reception. No privacy in that sense. The individual rooms are much better

Auf unserer Reise hatten wir im Savoy in Ooty Station gemacht. Nach der Fahrt über gefühlt hundert Serpentinen auf 2.300 m ü. NN waren wir von der ruhigen Anlage inmitten der Stadt sehr positiv überrascht. Ursprünglich eine Missionarsschule aus dem 19. Jahrhundert ist es schon seit langer Zeit ein Hotel, das an die Zeit erinnert, als Ooty Erholungsort für die Briten war. Wir bewohnten ein kleines Häuschen im englischen Stil mit abgetrenntem Wohnbereich und einem ausreichend großen Schlafzimmer. Vor dem Häuschen gab es Tisch und Stühle, um die Sonne genießen zu können. Wir aßen im Restaurant mit einer ausgezeichneten Küche und einem perfekten Service. Für Indien eher ungewöhnlich ist es in Ooty aufgrund der Höhenlage ziemlich kühl. Als wir nach dem Dinner in unser Haus zurückkehrten, waren wir sehr froh, dass uns ein Mitarbeiter des housekeeping mit der Frage abgepasst hat, ob er uns den offenen Kamin im Schlafzimmer anheizen sollte. Das Angebot haben wir gern angenommen und damit eine gute Nacht verbracht. Insgesamt fühlten wir uns sehr wohl im Hotel, hier kann *** es gut ein paar Tage aushalten, um die Gegend zu erkunden.

Dit hotel is werkelijk fantastisch! Het is rustig gelegen, heeft een grote tuin en de kamers in het voormalige schoolgebouw zijn comfortabel en mooi. De douche en het bed zijn heerlijk. Het restaurant serveert zalige gerechten! Als Westerse toeristen voor wie een “little spicy” echt al heet is, hebben we hier het allerbeste en allerlekkerste gegeten sinds we 4 weken door India reizen. Geen moeite is de kok en de staf teveel: ze zijn enorm gastvrij, betrokken en aardig. Wat een heerlijk verblijf hebben we hier gehad! Een compliment ook voor het feit dat ze The Good Gift, een lokale organisatie waar vrouwen mooie poppen maken en zo economisch zelfstandig(er) kunnen worden, ruimte geven in hun lounge om de poppen tentoon te stellen. Echt een aanrader om 1 of meer van deze poppen te kopen! Kortom: een fantastisch hotel en een absolute aanrader!

El hotel es hermoso desde su entrada, con unos jardines maravillosos. El lugar es genial para ir en familia, nuestros hijos pudieron alimentar a los peces, conejos y patos que se encuentran ahí. Hay un señor con un pony que pasea a los niños y es muy amable, los niños iban cada mañana felices a saludarlos. Nosotros como extranjeros no comemos picante y el personal estuvo siempre preocupado de darnos todo 0 spicy. La limpieza y cuidado de nuestra habitación siempre estuvo impecable. En definitiva nuestra estadía fue perfecta y esperamos tener la oportunidad de volver en algún momento.

What makes Savoy even more special for us is that it is truly pet-friendly — which means our little family, including Tojo, could enjoy the holiday together without compromises A heartfelt thank you to Sabarish for taking such wonderful care of us and ensuring everything — from our room to our meals to Tojo’s comfort — was perfectly taken care of. Savoy isn’t just a hotel; it’s a place that makes you want to return again and again. We certainly will.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Savoy. The staff were universally friendly and helpful, offering advice on menu selection and locations to visit. Raj Kumar in the bar even encouraged our poor attempts at snooker.

Everyone was friendly and accommodating. The property is excellent, i want to also highly commend the restaurant staff -- the food and service was superb!

Had a delightful experience at the Canterbury Bar, in the hotel. As a drop-in visitor, our group of five was exceptionally well served by Aadil Hussain- both efficiently and courteously. Everyone ordered a different cocktail - all wishes were fulfilled in a jiffy and with a warm hospitable smile- always a hallmark of a Taj.
