No confermation by derby green hotel

Staff was extremely courteous and prompt at any requirement. Ms Rajalakshmi of Housekeeping was specially attentive to even details. Room was well maintained and all were functioning. F&B staff too were very prompt in food service. Front office staff were also very helpful for smooth check in and check out.

Had a really good stay at Club Mahindra Derby Green, Ooty. The resort is beautiful and the staff is genuinely great. Everyone is very friendly, approachable, and happy to explain anything you ask, which made the whole stay feel very comfortable. They also have a bunch of activities to try, which makes the experience even better. I personally went for their e-bike trail, and it was honestly one of the best parts of the trip. The trail was super peaceful, scenic, and a really nice way to explore Ooty. Special mention to Akshay, our guide, who was amazing. He knows a lot about the local places and even shared some interesting history about the area during the ride, which made it even more enjoyable. Would definitely recommend trying this if you’re staying here. Overall, a really nice resort with great people and great experiences.

Club Mahindra Derby Green, Ooty, is a beautiful heritage property that perfectly captures the old-world charm of the Nilgiris. The resort is well maintained, the rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the overall ambience makes for a relaxing holiday. What stood out most during my stay was the warmth and professionalism of the staff. I did face a few concerns during my visit, but they were handled promptly and effectively by Resort Manager Ravi and Chef Natarajan. Their hands-on approach, attention to detail, and genuine concern for guest satisfaction reflect the strong leadership at the resort. The food was a highlight of the stay. Chef Natarajan’s local specialties are exceptional. The Nilgiri Korma and Bun Parotta were absolutely delicious and gave us an authentic taste of the region. The breakfast buffet was consistently impressive, with dishes like Sambar, Upma, Medu Vada, Pongal, and freshly made Dosas being particularly enjoyable. Room service was equally good. We tried the Non-Veg Combo, and the portion size was huge—easily sufficient for two people. The food was flavourful, freshly prepared, and excellent value for money. Overall, Club Mahindra Derby Green offers a wonderful combination of heritage charm, comfortable accommodation, excellent food, and outstanding hospitality. Special thanks once again to Ravi and Chef Natarajan for making our stay memorable. I look forward to visiting again.

Worst, horrible, pathetic experience total worst night! I am writing this review with lot of pain. We have been traveling on a vacation and after a pleasant stay at thekaddy club mahindra our next destination as per planned schedule being ooty, we reached club mahindra ooty derby, ***** with my wife and my mother in law and two kids my son just year and a month old. Though we had requested for studio as we were on waiting list we were alloted HU by the company and we had no knowledge about the structure of the HU as we have never been to such units, but after looking the size of the room and the step wooden elevated stairs towards our HU rooms just gave us shivers, that apart while my wife was getting down carrying our infant baby through the ancient pathetic stairs which connect our HU, she narrowly escaped a deadly fall twice so also my mother in law who is a senior citizen narrowly escaped a fall and accordingly we humbly requested front desk guy Mr.Danny if not both atleast one room can be upgraded to studio, for which he so politely gave a feedback saying on 27th itself it won't be possible, but on 28th as there are almost 60 check out he will try his best to upgrade to studio atleast one room or in the worst case scenario would give us HU room on ground floor. When on 28th may in the morning I went to inquire about the shifting one guy by name Praveen (local from tamil nadu) from the front desk outright refused with a weird and unbecoming behavior, upon asking as to why such a tone the said Praveen gave some filthy word to me at that moment Mr. Praveen was alone right in front of entry, the company can very well note from the cctv footage. We have taken to a shock with such kind of behavior on account of Mr.Praveen who bring bad reputation to the company and pathetic experience to the guest. We had very pleasant experience with Ms.Jenifer, Mr.Danny, and the one who who does compering for evening shows Mr.Faisal, also the security guy though with forget his name , all the above were very nice and jovial except Mr.Praveen who lacks etiquette and full of filth. Now if the property cant give one studio or in worst scenario cant even adjust with ground floor, somewhat we can understand with a pinch of pain, but such dastardly behavior shouldn't be tolerated. Overall experience pathetic and horrible. Disappointed and devastated to choose this property. The property on a whole is ok, the HU rooms upstairs are horrible and very risky if one is healthy and senior citizen please do avoid to book HU rooms here. Studio rooms no comments as we didn't get chance to see them. Totally dereliction in providing customer friendly service by ooty derby property of club mahindra!

The property itself is beautiful and has a lovely heritage charm that makes it stand out from many other resorts. The reception and security teams were courteous, welcoming, and professional throughout our stay. Unfortunately, the dining experience was a major disappointment and significantly impacted our overall holiday. We opted for the buffet package, and the food quality was far below what I would expect from a resort of this standard. Several dishes lacked freshness, flavour, and proper execution. The Tandoori Chicken was extremely dry, hard, and rubbery. The Laal Maas did not resemble the authentic dish in terms of flavour or preparation. Both the Chicken Biryani and Mutton Biryani were disappointing, with overcooked rice and poor-quality meat. The Amritsari Machli was over-fried and very hard, while the Rasam tasted like plain hot water with very little aroma, seasoning, or depth of flavour. Service was equally frustrating. At one point, I waited nearly 20 minutes for chapatis after placing a request. Dessert counters were also not replenished promptly, leaving guests with limited choices during buffet service. The biggest concern, however, was hygiene and food handling practices. At the live Pani Puri counter, staff were serving food without gloves, which was surprising given current food safety expectations. The buffet area also appeared to require better attention to cleanliness and upkeep. What makes this more disappointing is that I have visited other Club Mahindra properties, including Varca and Coorg, where the food quality, presentation, and overall dining experience were significantly better. Therefore, I know the brand is capable of delivering much higher standards. The resort itself is worth visiting for its location and heritage appeal, but the food quality, hygiene practices, and restaurant service require immediate improvement. A memorable holiday is not only about the rooms and surroundings; dining is a major part of the overall guest experience. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and works towards improving the restaurant operations, as the property has great potential.

Had a good stay in the Derby hills resort at Ooty. Thanks to Ms. Rajalakshmi from the housekeeping. She everyday ensured cleanliness in our rooms. Every day she ensured she would come and check us about our stay experience.

The one hour cycle tour with Akshai was very good. He knows the area well and is a good guide. Overall my experience on the tour was excellent.

I checked in with aged parents. Very well looked after from start to finish. All areas be it dining, site seeing planning, housekeeping, room sercive, front desk, everyone was so friendly, professional n accommodating with a smile. I would like to mention the staff who made r trip memorable - Pavithra, Justin, Praveen, Dominic, Sasikumar (hk), Shakespeare, Ganesh all the restaurant staff, i do not remember all the names. Thank u very much. Must mention the food, thank u chefs, we enjoyed every meal very much.

We had a wonderful stay at Club Mahindra Derby , Ooty . The atmosphere of the resort is warm and relaxing with a lovely heritage feel that makes the experience even more special . The rooms were clean , comfortable and well maintained. Overall the stay is offered great value with excellent hospitality & service throughout . A special thanks to Rajalakshmi from housekeeping for her attentive care and ensuring everything was spotless and to Azo from in-room dining for the prompt service and delicious food . Their efforts truly made the stay memorable .

Wonderful experience very professional staff. The massager was very skilled and I felt relaxed. Must have for tourists.will try again.

We had a wonderful stay at Derby Green! The property is charming and well-maintained, offering a peaceful retreat close to the heart of the city. The breakfast spread was impressive, with a wide variety of delicious options to choose from each morning. One of the highlights was the presence of numerous sparrows around the property—it really added a refreshing, natural touch to the experience. The staff were friendly, polite, and professional throughout our stay, always ready to assist with a smile. A special mention goes to Ms. Lina at the spa—her service was truly commendable and added to the overall relaxation of our holiday. Derby Green is a perfect holiday treat, and we’d gladly return for another stay!

Rooms can be cleaner and smelling fresh. But it smells and looks bad. Bathrooms are not clean. We do not usually take food at the property as it expensive. But we had hot chocolate ., the pakora was too oily and hot chocolate the cup and the pouring jar was filthy. The best part though was the SPA … it was divine!!! The property gardener is maintained good … other than that everything else beeds urgently attention. As the property is old it needs serious up keeping’s of the rooms. Again the best part the SPA!!

I went for a spa massage and it was excellent. Neethin the therapist was very good. Especially he worked on my scapula pain and it already feels so better.
