奧拉西拉昆塔溫德姆套房飯店(La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Olathe)

Loved it here

The facility was newly renovated, in fact work was still being completed. But this did not keep us from good night sleep or from having fun. The pool was very nice and the hot tub was great! Breakfast was excellent and the morning attendant for the breakfast was so kind. Housekeeping was great and overall just a great trip!

At check in room was dirty, had to have beds changed and dirty linens picked up off room floor. And the smell taken care of. We had to wait an hour for them to clean. Nothing offered for inconvenience of a nasty room and beds were very uncomfortable once we got to room. Lots of construction containers In parking lot so very little parking space. Noise levels were crazy Saturday night loud music and loud tenants.

They are doing a beautiful remodel. They’re careful to not disturb guests. Dispute the work in was clean. Only issue was they gave us a handicap accessible room that’s shower was a little difficult for 2 tall people and the water pressure was low. But for the price it was a great value.

Have stayed here, several years ago with my kids & loved it. However, this stay is my last. Check-in was terrible: 3 different rooms & 5 attempts: key didn't work, then key programmed, but room aleady occupied! 2nd room: key worked, but door physically unable to be closed (dead bolt didn’t line-up with lock slot--staff came to see & offered repair or another room), 3rd room: door & locks worked, comfy bed, working a/c. However, tub floor was dirty. Nice-looking shower head, but guessing lime build-up, because water poured down like a garden hose at an over-priced summer camp. Continental breakfast was the best part of this stay: lots of variety, enough for amount of guests, & nice staff. Staff at check-in was very apologetic about the room problems & reassignments. Unfortunately, all of this caused me to be 30 minutes late to important dinner reservations, for a celebration. Property is under heavy renovation with areas in lobby, around pool torn-up, as well as 2nd floor. Lots of construction items on exterior of property, as well.

From the outside, looks like a nice hotel. Nicer than I would normally expect for a La Quinta. Lots of construction going on inside and out, though. It was clear that for as nice as the place looked, once you looked closer, there were some issues. No places to hang towels in the bathroom. The mattresses, despite being tempurpedic, were not remotely comfortable. Everyone woke up with hurting backs. The air conditioner ran for 3 minutes, then shut off for 5 minutes the entire time (3 days), which did not help the sleeping situation. It was either super loud or super quiet. We kept finding sunflower seed shells that did not get cleaned up from the prior guests. No curtains so light comes in around the blinds, and there was no DND tag. I stopped at the front desk to ask for one, but the concierge couldn’t find one either. I ended up making my own. The hot tub was out of service and something I had personally been looking forward to as I’m usually sore from a long day traveling in a car. I wanted an inexpensive place to stay for a family meeting and this met that checklist, kinda. If I hadn’t unpacked stuff (we travel with kids so IYKYK), I would have asked to be moved because of the air conditioner alone as it was the most inconvenient issue. Huge flat screen TV, though. Would I stay here again? Ehhh, I don’t know. Sometimes cheap hotels make the best memories, but if all the rooms were like the one I had, I would probably pass.

The hotel seems to be in remodel. No problem with that, however, the room had a weird stuffed hamburger toy in a drawer with some odd crust on it, and there was an empty beer can outside our door when we got back from dinner. Unsettling because it seemed like someone had been either in or hanging around the room.

The only negative thing I have to say is the condition of the water in the pool. The water was cloudy and needed some attention. Other than that staff was super nice and helpful and great location.

Everybody was extremely nice. Everything was wonderful.... room and breakfast. I will be keeping this hotel in my back pocket for other trips to olathe for my daughter's travel softball tournaments
