Lago Hotel

This is a hidden GEM ... Visit before everyone else does! The Hotel is super clean, friendly, small and is opposite the Lake , with a private beach and free beds and Umbrellas ( not all hotels here offer this). Our room overlooked the lake and the wonders of sunrise and sunset was inspirational. The staff are very friendly. Beach towels provided and a very clean pool too ! Breakfast was buffet style daily , plenty of room in the restaurant overlooking the lake. The rooms are modern , clean with everything you need and want. I would almost certainly return ...

Hôtel tout neuf. Excellent accueil. Très bon emplacement. Petit déjeuné très agréable. Les chambres sont propres. Très belle salle de bain La piscine est très agréable mais collée à la route. Heureusement, le bruit est bien arrêté par le petit mur.

Il Lago Hotel è una buona struttura, ma deve migliorare qualche criticità. Ben posizionato sulla sponda del lago, non lontano da Ohrid, si presenta con una discreta hall ed una accoglienza cordiale e con check-in veloce. Camere al primo piano ( una doppia e una tripla) nuove e modernamente arredate. Sufficientemente grandi, riportano tutti gli accessori necessari. Letto confortevole e ottima la qualità del sonno. Bagno moderno e pulito, ma un po’ piccolo, soprattutto il lavandino, con spazio troppo sacrificato in favore della doccia. Presenti i prodotti di cortesia, ma mancavano gli accappatoi. Parcheggio gratuito e Wi-Fi funzionante. Colazione discreta. Buona la varietà dei cibi, ma troppa prevalenza del salato sul dolce. Un albergo che vuole avere una clientela internazionale deve tenere conto di questi aspetti, non incentrandosi troppo sui gusti e sui prodotti nazionali ( macedoni). Mancava, comunque, il tostapane. This is a very nice hotel conveniently located 15 minutes (drive) south of the city of Ohrid. Our room faced the lake and we had a tremendous view of the sun setting each evening. The hotel and grounds are clean and access to the lake is right across the road from the hotel. The staff/owners of the hotel are very helpful and accommodating. Though English wasn't widely spoken we had no issues communicating. The restaurant is very good with a fairly expansive list of dinner options and a very good wine list. The breakfast is delicious. Definitely recommend this hotel. For those who are wondering about crossing the border from Albania, it's simple. We rented our vehicle in Tirana and told the company we were going into North Macedonia, make sure you inform the rental company in advance. We crossed into North Macedonia at the Saint Naum crossing (south end of the lake). We gave the border officer our vehicle registration and passports, parked the vehicle and went into the office, paid 20 Euro cash and walked out with our green card insurance. (There is a restroom at the crossing and the total time spent there was about 15 minutes).

Stayed here for 7 nights , great little hotel, our room ,28, 2nd floor, lake view was lovely, fridge with daily complimentary water,comfortable beds and pillows, plenty of storage space with free safe ,nice shower/toilet area, TV with plenty of English channels including films if you're having an early night ,the pool area is only small with I think 12 sunbeds but it's nice , breakfast was OK, mostly continental but there are fried eggs,bacon and omelette, the food in the restraunt of an evening was amazing, we ate there 3 nights it was that good, the staff at this hotel are so friendly and welcoming from the maids to manager so thank you all for making our stay so good , The lake across the road is fantastic, it's actually warmer than the hotel pool, loads of sunbeds ,free, and a bar for food and drinks , chicken fingers were nice as we're the Gyros , there is a small shop about 5 minutes walk from the hotel but go the back way up the hill apart from that nothing else around, I would recommend this hotel and I would definitely return here , it is a taxi /bus ride into Orhid but that is a minor inconvenience.

Amazing restaurant Experience. Highly recommended. We didn’t stay at the hotel, but went in the restaurant by recommendation. They told us the restaurant was recently opened and not too much exposed, probably the best in town. Top quality food, especially the fish and the traditional starter. Service was great, big compliments to the staff, thank you for everything. Will definitely visit again
