The hotel is located nearby the harbor so it is a walking distance to everywhere. But the building itself is old.

Upon our arrival to the hotel, at first glance, it seemed promising. Greeted by the subtle conversation of customers and the extravagant decor. After checking in, we were directed to behind the main building hotel to a car park in front of a row of decrepit apartment-like buildings - possibly old council properties. With further inspection, we found that the advertisement for the hotel did not entail anything like this. The ‘garden’ outside of the room, amongst the parked cars, was decorated with black garden chairs and a glass table which contradicted the theme of the hotel. When putting the key in the keyhole, the door seemed loose and poorly built, almost like a shed door. Yet again, the room inside contradicted the theme of the hotel, the gold objects looking ‘hand painted’. We complained to the manager and requested a room within the building and we compromised on complimentary breakfast for our stay as the hotel was fully booked. The breakfast, however, was shocking. We opted for mini pastries and bread. The bread was good. The second morning, being hungry first thing, we attempted breakfast again but found that although the lovely staff were trying very hard the products were simply substandard. Due to this we ate elsewhere on the last day. The coffee was in a large container and watery. Kettle was leaking in our room and had to request change twice. Staff trying hard but the refurbishments needed are vast. As a professional family this was a disturbing experience.

We were not placed in the room we booked, which apparently does not even exist. The sheets were dirty on one of the beds, and there were dirty bandaids littered across the entryway to our room. The staff was very kind and attentive, but it's hard to make up for that feeling that you are sleeping in a really dirty room.

Shower barely made it to luke warm, room smelt musty and was cold. Room looked like a youth retreat and outside area of ‘back of hotel’ . TV would not connect to Wifi

Grei beliggenhet, men ganske slitent. Dette hotellet har nok hatt sin storhetstid tidligere.Det var meget slitent. Senga var hard og badet var veldig kaldt. Iskaldt på rommet også, men satte på ovnen, så da ble det bedre. Positivt at det var vann på rommet.
